This is looking toward the road through the mountain ash which is the indigenous eucalypt of our area. The huge pile is the  rakings of their leaves and branches which we mulch and put back under to create the beds.

I'm just starting to get into composting with all the pine needles and oak leaves that cover my yard every year...adding in kitchen waste and neighbor's llama poop!
