I saw a cartoon in the paper the other day & it made me think of your bear, but I forgot to tell about while I was on sudoku! I'll tell you now! The strip is called Non Sequitor by Wiley. Don't know if he's Australian or someone else. Anyway I like his humour. Could be a Canadian! Your bear & a friend are watching 2 human males both with sausages on sticks BBQing them over a camp fire near a tent. One bear says to the other one "OK.. I'll admit they're kind of cute, but I still say their herd needs to be thinned" Hope you like it!

Wonderful photo Greg. Those Spirit bears are found only on Vancouver Island near the Native areas. I believe they are endangered too.Did you take this photo?I've heard that these bears are very gentle, but you'd have to be brave to be this close.
