I didn't know I'd get a TOPP. Wish I had a prophetic quote.
I DO have a poem:
Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend. Not sure who said it, but I used it as my yearbook quote!

June, I hope your day today and tomorrow go well! Do you have to take meds tomorrow, and just drink clear liquids? Will be thinking of you for the procedure. Hope it goes well!

Broni, don't hesitate to schedule yours! Our primary care asked us Thursday at our annual physicals if we were due for ours. Had my first in 2004, and was told I could wait 10 years. Hubby is on the 5-year plan, so due next year, I think.

Visited Bonnie & Clyde Owl and saw Heidi posting there, but didn't post. I'm thinking we might have another eaglet hatch tomorrow, but it might be another day beyond that. Mama Eagle needs to find time for a nana nap. She looks exhausted.

Oh, dear, I think I'm reading this page too late tonight. Looks like I missed pillow fight day. I'm guessing Tami's already in bed for the night!

MizT, so glad you got internet & phone back - and got to the store for some necessities! How great that you have the blender you do so that you don't need to wash the entire thing multiple times a day and can use canning jars! That was good engineering back when it was designed!

I think I hear an owl on the eagle cam site. Cyn, I haven't seen a "live" feeding yet, but bless those people who get things up on youtube or the facebook page! I hope you and hubby enjoyed your outing. Hope it was for fun!

Gail, I hope you got all your seedlings planted!

Lovely poem Suzanne, a very nice sentiment.

Brussels and cabbages are in, plus a few more lettuces. We need to dig over a couple of other beds to put in the broccoli and caulis.

Julie... did you get to see a snack delivery or an owlet eating? My favorite day was a week or so ago, when two of the owlets each swallowed bunnies.... whole! I nearly died laughing at the sight of bunny feet sticking out of their mouths that were half the size of the owlets. I saved a picture and will post it on my page now.

Good morning all. Coffee is ready, pour a cup.
Saw the eaglet today. Not sure if I saw one or two. I did see parts of an open shell. Even the boys are enjoying seeing the birds.

Spending the day going back and forth worshiping the porcelain god. Not fun. And it's a delightful day here. Sunny and 75℉ / 23.8℃.

Good morning form the Gold Coast.

Hubby and I are here for the week. It rained on and off yesterday but the sky is blue today. I might think about getting out for a walk soon in case it rains again.

The boy's party went well. He loved his cake and Bob the Builder drill that we gave him (a man can never have enough good tools).

Saturday morning was spent cleaning the mess (not too bad really) and then going to visit MIL and buy her groceries. Then we came home so I could pack while hubby chatted to the neighbour and cleaned the driveway. I hate that and he always seems to be doing stuff like that while I pack.

Anyhoo, we made it eventually and it's lovely to have no responsibilities for al least a week.

Good Evening, Everybody!

To all of the moms/mums who are celebrating, Happy Mother's Day!

Theresa, I hope Mr. Theresa had a wonderful birthday!

Gail, you're going to be enjoying wonderful fresh vegetables! How many beds are planted? How big are they? You said you'll be working through a couple more for broccoli and cauliflower. Might we see you at a highway intersection/farmers' market selling your fresh yummies?

Heidi, thank you for sharing the owlet/bunny picture! It reminds me of a Richard Scary children's book illustration. I hope you are feeling better by this evening! Have you been able to eat anything today?

Vicki, I'm so glad you have a blue sky to enjoy today! I hope all the rest of the days are wonderful and relaxing! So sorry you lost your internet connection just as you were submitting a long post! Very aggravating!

Oh, June, talk about aggravating! How can they change the date of your colonoscopy when you've been preparing for it? (I hope you don't have to drink a gallon of foul, metallic tasting liquid the day before. (I think it's called "Go Lightly" here. My lucky sister just had to take a pill or two, but hubby and I "enjoyed" our drink and all of the resulting trips to the bathroom. Just look at it this way, if they tell you to come back in 10 years, it will be almost a month later than it would have been if tomorrow were the day.

Did anyone see the "incident" with the eagles today? Dad was straightening out the "bowl" of the nest. Eaglet #1 must have thought it was a feeding, got his beak around Dad's and accidentally got "tossed out" of the nest - probably a good 6 to 8 inches. There was much "discussion on the Raptor Resource facebook page as people "urged" the little rascal closer to the bowl. When Mom returned, some thought she "glared" at Dad. The little one was out at least 30-45 minutes before Mom urged it closer and kind of enlarged the bowl, then sort of rolled the little guy in. It was a little disconcerting for a bit. Later, Dad brought a black bird and a fish to the nest, perhaps as a "peace offering." I hope there won't be any more "incidents."

Heading to bed rather soon. We have a long day tomorrow, with a doctor appointment (at least 60 minute travel time to and from), hopefully time for a quick lunch, then a meeting with our tax guy to do our and MIL's taxes (about 30 minutes travel each way), hopefully time for a quick bite to eat, then a board meeting for our wood working club (at least an hour drive each way.) We're not sure we'll get home between leaving at about 9:30 a.m. and returning from the meeting, probably about 10:00 p.m.

Theresa - Happy Birthday to your hubby. Hope he has a good day!
June - so sorry they postponed the procedure. It musy be awful to psych yourself up for that and then have it put off!
Julie, I missed that incident with the baby being thrown out of the nest but I did see the babies this morning and both parents before one settled him/herself over them - so exciting. Going back now for a looksee.

Sounds windy in Decorah, Iowa, and we're having thunder and some rain here. It was warm today - hubby said it reached 70* F. I took off my sweater when we went for a walk, so I'm sure it was at least in the 60's.

Going to try for a decent night's sleep here, so will be signing off. Sending positive thoughts, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and for everyone! Enjoy the rest of your afternoon/evening/night! Sleep well, Everyone!

Gekko all, back again!

June, will be thinking of you tomorrow. Wish I'd never had a general anaesthetic. Had more than my share - 7 I think.

Happy Birthday Mr Theresa!!

MizT, is your pain thing this week or next? I hope it's this week!! The feeding thing is very complicated, a lot to remember and do. Hugs to you.

Bugger June - just got to this page and saw your plans thrown up in the air. Very frustrating.

I wish I could spend some time at the nest! I think I might spend a chunk of the day at maccas tomorrow... It sounds so interesting.

Alie performed at a music assembly today. People told them they were the best act and one teacher told them they were so good kids actually shut up and listened to them. All that after agonising as she has a head cold and was sure her voice would be awful!

Vicki, hubby would love to move to the Gold Coast as he says it reminds him of LA. Of course we were there in September and during a drought - he wouldn't have thought that if we'd been there in January, definitely no similarities to desert weather then! Hope you have a wonderful time..

Morning all. Rainy day here, and it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days. Oh well, it will clear up the remaining snow.

Hubby and his sister took his dad to the hospital ER yesterday because they couldn't get him to go to the doctor. He now has a few more appointments set up - let's see if he keeps them! So hubby spent his birthday at the hospital and they had about a 3 hour wait.

Hubby's birthday supper went well, including a yummy chocolate cake.

June, so sorry your appointment was postponed. I had a colonoscopy about 6 years ago, so will need another one in 4 years.

It's soon time to get the grandies up and ready for school. Catch you all later.

Belated birthday wished for your husband Theresa. At least he was not a patient!
Alie is doing so well with her singing Suzy. What day will she be at the Royal easter show? Not sure what day we are going yet. Has to be before 20th as that is when we are going to Melbourne.

D goes for physio again today and should find out if she can put weight on the foot. She had a shower all by herself earlier (with the bath seat in the tub). Baby steps every day. Wednesday she goes to meet with the surgeon.
