Heidi, does ice or heat help at all? Last week fore my block, I alternated ice and heat, it did help me.

Still so very humid. I caved last night, put on the small AC in the bedroom, cause I could not get to sleep. My pillow was damp, my jammies were damp, temp was 76 with a "feels like" temp of 86, at MIDNIGHT. Humidity ws about 95%, so humid. I slept very nicely after drying out the air some.

Al did his weight in this morning, still gaining slowly. He is up five pounds since he was in hospital. YEAH AL!!

Heidi, hope the dogs behave during the thunder storms.

Morning all,
So much to catch up on - thank goodness our allowance has reset! Going to be more careful this month!!

I'm knitting a beanie. We'll see how it goes as I'm not using a pattern. Could be a disaster!

Tami, I laughed at your boys getting up early to jog! Alie was over the moon that her bf is grounded because it meant she could sleep as late as she wants.

Theresa, home alone for the weekend sounds like a perfect time to relax with a book and have a nice nap!

MizT, so glad your epidural is working.

Heidi, hope time moves quickly for yours.

Tami, if pounds were transferable, I would not have to import them for AL, I have plenty to share. I do want to thank you for your generous offer, though.

I am going to have a busy Sunday. In the morning I am meeting a clerical from my school. She is trying to become a teacher and is having trouble passing the math portion of test. I am going to tutor her. After that, I have 5 batches of brownies to bake. 3 for my school and 2 for hubby's work.

I got a great bargain at the grocery store today. They had a brand of pasta on sale buy one get one free. That is $1.49 for two boxes. I had a coupon for $1 off of 2 boxes of same brand. That works out to be $0.49 for 2 boxes. I had 4 of the coupons so I bought 8 boxes. I should have enough pasta for a few weeks. I think I have more coupons, so I will probably buy a few more boxes.

I wish I could nap, Theresa. The otc meds aren't the same as the methadone, and my body isn't reacting as well to them. I'm having cramps, aches and restless leg syndrome.

Not a lot but it does not spoil. I bought four different types: spaghetti, corkscrews, penne, and elbows. It will last a month or two. I can not resist a bargain and it is a quick fix dinner.

Good morning all
Sorry you're so uncomfortable Heidi - only a few more days now - but I know they seem long when you're in pain.
It seems summer has set in early for you MizT if you're so uncomfortable at night already. Our nights are getting very cool, I love being able to snuggle under the blankets instead of kicking off the sheets because they're too hot.

That Sausage Sizzle yesterday was a good money spinner for the Scouts - they went through 40kgs (about 88lbs) of sausages at $2.50 each, not to mention drinks. Price is set by Bunnings, not by the organisation. Apparently, there's so many wanting to do it that each organisation has to apply to Bunnings each year and their names are drawn out of a hat. I feel sorry for the person who had to cut up the onions! Col had the bright idea that we could do them next time in our food processor - my answer was - what do you mean 'we' - go your hardest, honey!

Hi, Everyone! (Misplaced fingers typed "Gu" instead of Hi, so Gu and Gekko, Everyone! I've made it here before 9 p.m. (5 minutes before) tonight!

Heidi and Theresa, I hope you both slept well last night and are feeling fewer pains today!

Cyn and Broni, I hope the blehhhh, even if it's nothing specific, goes away!

Vicki, welcome back and so sorry to hear that you're dealing with a cough! So glad you had time to relax! Enjoy your new faucet!

Rolanda and Vicki, congratulations to both of you for both getting into the second ball of wool for the scarves!

Is Bunnings a retail department store, a hardware store, some other kind of store? (Yes, I could do a google search, but the computer has not been happy today and I think it best not to open another window.

Tami, I hope the Beastie Boys and Harley enjoyed their jog!

I hope the thunderstorm avoided you, Heidi, and also skips by MizT!

On to page 39 . . .

Heidi, it's a perfectly acceptable TOPP! I agree with MizT, if the storms come, I hope they don't aggravate the dogs! Hope you're feeling better today!

MizT, with those temperatures, the AC sounds likea perfect solution! Congrats to Al (and you) for gaining a bit of weight! So glad the epidural is working!

Suzy, let us know how the beanie turns out! So glad Alie could sleep in! How has she been feeling?

Tami, very thoughtful of you to offer Al a few pounds! How did the jog go today? Good for you for helping the clerical by tutoring her/him in math! MMM, yummy brownies! Only 5 batches? Surely you could spare another batch for us. Terrific bargain you found on pasta! Yep, makings of a quick and rather inexpensive meal.

Good for you, Theresa! A four-hour nap sounds like exactly what you needed!

Gail, I hope you are enjoying/enjoyed your lunch out today!

The Bunnings Sausage Sizzles sound like a good fundraiser! Is it just one day a month?

Oh, my, Suzanne! Snow!? I think we're finally past that here - until next fall.

Sending positive thoughts, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to everyone! I was up before 7 this morning to go to water aerobics, but hubby reminded me that he needed to leave for an appointment and someone was coming (no scheduled time, other than "on Saturday") to discuss some landscaping/lawn issues. So I stayed at home. Will try to get to class tomorrow morning. Good Night, Everyone!

Gekko all,
Noice day at my niece's farewell BBQ. She is going to travel around with her bf. They are planning on working their way around Australia. Hopefully they will find work fairly quickly as my bro thinks they money they have will only last a few weeks.

Hi everyone - gosh I haven't been here for ages! Hope you're all well and happy ... (I'll catch up on things later.) :)
Well, today was the Melbourne folks Sudoku get together, and I certainly had a lovely time. We met Margo and Gordon from Adelaide, Jack from Bayswater, and some of the usual suspects (Bean, Kate, Gail and Scott). Liz was sick - get well soon. ♥

You're a 14 year old boy and are confronted by a Greenpeace volunteer outside a subway restaurant. The volunteer asks 'what is in your sandwich'. What do you say?

Apparently what you say is 'dolphin'......

Hi MizT. I only got about 4 hours sleep - couldn't sleep because of the long nap yesterday. I'm just going to grab a nap, but I'm setting the alarm clock so I don't have a repeat of yesterday.

The rest of the day will involve lots of swearing. Hubby is working 9:00 to 6:00. I have to prepare meals to freeze as I am almost out. Last time I boiled a whole mess of potatoes, mashed them and then froze them in individual serving sizes.

So I will be back in about 2 hours.

Morning all. Coffee is ready for who ever (or is that whom ever) needs a cup.
Getting ready to go tutor the clerical from my school.
Theresa, you are so organized. I can not get that organized to plan dinner in advance. I plan in the morning by seeing what is in the freezer.
Gail, sounds like a nice time was had by all.
Heidi, hope the back is better soon. I know you are counting the days until Wednesday. I wish there was something OTC that would give you some relief.
