Gail, keep me a piece of the tiramisu please.
Grandma story:
I have Laura staying. She has not been here for a couple of weeks so the first thing she wanted to know was if the eagle eggs had hatched. We then watched the eaglets being fed "How cute" was her comment and I could see us there for ages. I told her we might see Leah today (Glenn's daughter)and Laura asked how I knew Leah. I told her through Sudoku. I was then asked to go to the sudoku page and she wanted to know how to do them. I think she will have her mother's maths brain as I went to the 4x4 showed her and I was soon asked if she could do a harder one. She has seen me do the parents page where her photo appears and she was quite put out when there was not a photo of her on the ones she was doing. (Laura is now 5 and started school in February).
She is asleep in my bed and time I went back and got a bit more sleep too.

June.... I'm amazed that Laura could do a 4x4 kids sudoku!!! They take a lot of reasoning and problem solving ability, especially for a 5 year old! I am so impressed that I can only call her a brilliant young lady!

Morning all,
Theresa, I know Gail's address - on my way! I'm so glad you said no. I took my girls with me many many times when they were younger than that because I had nobody nearby to watch them, even to their grandfather's doctor appointments. We all managed fine.

Rena, glad you dropped in. Hope the pain killers keep the pain away!

I've found out the details about the Royal Easter Show. Somewhere around 3 on the 17th in the dog arenas, yep, they are singing while the dogs are doing a show thingy! One rehearsal only, which is fine for the Pride girls, but there are 2 other girls there who have far less experience and probably could do with more. Oh well, at least they get in for free.

June, Laura is awesome!

My back and hips are dead. I am going to spend some quality time with the heating pad. I've been popping 3 Tylenols at a time just to make it through today. Told D just a few minutes ago that if she needs anything else, it will have to wait until her hubby comes home at 7:00. I have been up and down the stairs more than 10 times today, which actually works out to more than 20 times because I had to come home again. I'm done for the day in so many ways.

Rena, glad you stopped in and are doing ok. I know the swelling will be down in a few days.
Theresa, you have my permission to go to bed early. It is hard to take care of two families at the same time.
Heidi, I don't even know what to say about IH.

That is a perfectly serious article, Suzy.... and I can see it being used on a lot of farms. We already use a system that requires calculations by hand. But we've gotten used to looking at a pasture and knowing how many more days of grazing we have from experience, that I don't think it would be necessary.

I just got back from our Cattlemen's meeting. Our Vet was the guest speaker and was quite enjoyable.

Good afternoon all
June - I agree, Laura must have an excellent maths brain to do the 4x4's at her age and ask for harder ones.
Theresa - I've just told my exDIL 'no' when she asked if I would take Chloe on Friday, I have Hayley tomorrow but have plans for Friday. Will do it next week if she wants but I owe her nothing! She an EX!
Tami - I'm pedantic enough to have noticed that it should be a right turn!
I'll join the chorus - Tiramisu - yummm!! (Just refer to my photo gallery for the pic of my Tiramisu 60th birthday cake!)

Sorry for that outburst but I have no time for a man who cuts his kids/grandkids out of his life for 6 years and then lets them back in IF they are prepared to take the blame - as Karin was (with her fingers crossed behind her back) and Andrew wasn't (so still doesn't see him)!

Take the blame for the 6 year rift which he started when he disowned his own parents and expected our kids to side with him - they said they'd rather stay out of it - they love their grandparents and are lucky to still have them both (89 & 90) and no alzheimers there! So they all got dumped from a great height. I might add there IS a stepmother involved, need I say more.

I've got to say, usually it IS hotter here until the end of April - Anzac Day 25/4 and by Hayley's birthday 21/5, winter has well and truly set in! Brrrrr!
Reminds me, must get hubby onto firewood collection, our stack is severely depleted and he's had 6 or more months to replenish. He'll go to his brothers farm with his ute and a chainsaw, come home with the ute full!

I took Leah and Laura to lunch at Eastwood Rugby club (Suzy, Cyn, Gail etc all know that place) and Laura had her lobster mornay for lunch.
It has been a beautiful day but a bit cooler and some cloud now. It was about 23*c.
Friday I am doing a bus trip south. I think we are having lunch at the Jambaroo pub Suzy.

Hi all! It's just a fly by from me as it's nearly time to head home.
I've been in touch with Amelia and we have organised a get together for Friday 29th at Salamander Bay - anyone in the area is welcome to join us.
I'm getting a bit concerned about these cooler temps in the south. I think I might have to pack some winter woolies. I don't think the scarf will be ready as I'm only about to start the third ball tonight.
Just for a change it's my brother having a run-in with my mother. I'm expecting to hear from her and suprised that she hasn't rung yet. Maybe she's taking on board what he told her before he hung up on her! That would be the first time ever. "It's all about me" is what he told me is how she reacts. Hmm, where have I heard that before?
Have a great evening everyone. I'll be watching the finale of My Kitchen Rules. I was really annoyed to have to go to a meeting and miss the semi-final last night so I got up early and watched it on the computer. I think I'm hooked.

Gekko, Everyone! Very late here tonight. Lots of ffuts around the house this a.m., then errands in the afternoon, followed by meeting tonight. Just gonna glance at page 41 and leave 42 for tomorrow.

Hi, Broni! I hope all is well for you, Possum & his Mum! What's up with Rayray? I'm so glad your internet allowance is good! Now I need to go to Easy to try to find out.

Suzy, you have taught NomNom well! Good for you!

Sorry, Suzy and Tami, but I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive. It's good advice to make mistakes with the minutes, but I just can't do it, especially because I want an accurate report to my fellow Education Committee members. The elected secretary came up to me at the general membership meeting tonight to ask about the minutes. He and several others of our members weren't at the board of directors meeting last week because they were in Honduras to help build a bridge. (Good excuse for not being at the meeting.) I told him I had emailed it, but they got back after midnight last night and he hadn't seen email in almost 2 weeks.

Tami, I hope the second day of testing went well! Were you able to get any papers graded?

Heidi, I hope you get a little rest tonight! I'm SO glad tomorrow is your appointment! I can't believe IH expected you to help bail water. (Well, actually, I kind of can believe it.) If anything happens tomorrow afternoon or night. He's on his own! I'm so sorry about your sump pump problems! (Why would he have turned it off?)

Theresa, I hope your grandie isn't really sick and that your D is able to get it straightened out! Does her school have a social worker?

MizT, I hope all is well for you and Al! Great plan to have the tap lights around in various places in case of a power outage. We have candles, but in the cabinet over the refrigerator. No chance I could reach them. Hubby is 6 feet, 5 inches (77 inches, nearly 2 meters) and forgets that so many places are out of my reach. But it's interesting to hear his reaction when something is out of his reach.

Gail, corned beef at your house sounds good! Hope Chloe and her bf enjoy!

Suzanne, I hope the sandman finds you tonight!

Theresa, good for you for saying, "No." Does your D have to go far for the physio? Hopefully your grandie doesn't truly need the "barf bucket."

Heidi, I hope Robert is able to get done all that needs to be done before tomorrow's tour! How is his D and grandD?

Rena, thank you so much for popping in to update us! Yikes, so glad you went to an oral surgeon for that tooth! Can't imagine a "plain" dentist tackling it! Good news that your Mom was good when you checked in! Enjoy shopping with her on Friday! I hope she will receive good news from her doctor next week when he returns!

Hi, June! Hope all is well! Have you received results of your exam?

Thinking of exams - I hope all is well with Nola! Are her exams this month? (Sorry, I can't remember.) I think her prac starts in May.
