I was watching the most beautiful lightning back in 1996-97 right before the tornade hit us.

Yes, I've seen it. We had it 2 or 3 years ago when we had a bad snowstorm. We were driving back home from a family Christmas eve party.

We call our low spot in the backyard, the duck pond.

Lightning storms are one of my favourite things to watch but when it's dry here they start fires.
MizT, that thunderstorm must have been an awesome sight to see.

Rena, you're probably right. Richland Co. has a lot of farmland. There's 1 good sized town/city and a lot of smaller towns and villages.

RENA, it was, snow blowing sideways, temps at 16 degrees with wind chill of 0, NOt southern weather at all. We got a foot of snow, the ONLY big snow storm I have ever seen, and hope it will be the last one. Were without power for a week! never worked so hard to keep warm in my life! Luckily we had fire place and wood. some did not.

OK, this time I am really going, I am not going to check back, nope, cannot, going to bed, going straight to bed, I will not be tempted!!

yes, back on my pooter again... my cousin's son went back to Sydney yesterday afternoon, he flew over specially for the party.
