Gosh and bother! No-one here now. Just caught up on today's gossip session, thank you ladies, I love reading if I can't be here with you. Hurt my thumb on my right hand, can't believe how much it is slowing me down! I'm off to start flinging food around the kitchen. Dinner has been getting later and later because of this place! Will pop back in from time to time in between doing puzzels and cooking to see if anyone is here.

I have been contemplating whether to post a comment all day to see whether my anger would abate...it almost has. I'm not sure why I need to post as I am not defending myself here, but assumptions are flying all over the show, in an open forum, indiscriminately and indiscretely. This isn't a forum I visit regularly, but happened to today as I could not believe nearly 300 posts had been made since I posted on At The Flicks last night - thought some amazing event had taken place, in some ways I wish I had not read what I did.
For those who wonder why people would bother using anonymous names see Archives August 11th 2006 p2-6. It epitomises why it ever became so popular. Yes, there are those that hide behind names to vent their spleen or to attack others - but please do not assume that all who use pseudonyms are cowards.
Chatroom NEVER had records and it was never a matter of whether people wanted them or not. It was proved by someone that chatroom convo's could be 'saved'just by cut/copy/paste, so people started to 'clean/clear' the chatroom after conversations.
I was in chatroom yesterday talking to Ian/thailand and Aux58 and asked them why they chose the chatroom, as both rarely, if ever post on comments. They agreed it was the immediacy of the chatroom, you knew straight away who was in there and the response was going to be immediate. Exactly like MSN or IM. But no matter - this issue is up for debate in the discussion forum - your input would be appreciated. Btw André's comment had a wink smilie with it...and I only became a member in April after using this site for 18 months, I don't think Gath ever considered for one moment that I had no right to 'vote' or voice my opinion if I had any concerns with regards to the site...
As for the on-line affair - I find that particularly distasteful that it should be discussed as if it was of no consequence.These people are real. You have the information, does it assuage your curiosity? does it give you a closer affinity to the site as you are 'in the know' now?
You direct people to other pages today to see what's going on - what if the tables were turned? Would you be proud of SA3 right now?
I know it seems I am directing this tirade at everyone who uses this forum - I'm not, and I apologise if I have upset or offended anyone who is clueless about what I am going on about.
Well I guess I'm going to 'hang' myself now as I thought if i wrote this i would get it out of my system and wouldn't have to post it, but it seems my mouse is going to click on the submit button. I won't be back here, but if you need to call me out on something, put me right or in my place - just send me a personal msg/my page or even on Easy.

Hi Billy and Ian. You should have jumped in during the conversation Billy, angry or not, so you could give your perspective. Since I for one have no idea where you are coming from regarding the creative flow of the chatroom, it would have been nice to hear from you at the time. It probably would have stemmed the curiosity and speculation. However, if your knew the people who come here, you would know that we discuss all types of topics and there was no malicious intent involved.

Brendan moves to his permanent dorm on Friday, but since we got caught in horrendous traffic last Friday, hubby wants to go early Saturday morning (5am) to bring all of his stuff and move him into his room officially.

Sounds like a long day. You'll have to make sure to get to bed early Friday night. How long of a drive is it?

But when we get back on Saturday, we have to pack up D#1's things, and she has more than she had last year and the van was bursting at the seams then. We leave at 7am on Sunday to bring her back to Boston. We also have to go to the storage facility there and pick up her roommates things once we have her unpacked. Her roommate is from Panama and has to keep everything but her clothes in storage.

Hi MizT! It's about a 3 hour trip from here both to Brendan's school and D#1's. Last week we went from dropping Brendan to my mom's on Long Island. It was 68 miles and it took us 3 1/2 hours!!

How did the car thing turn out?

Stella, I was wondering about your car too, did they total it? And something about needing to be in 2 places with children at same time, how did that work out?

You know they never got back to us! I'll have to call hubby and ask him to contact them. I think he has their info. It's strange that they never finalized it. They were supposed to let us know by Friday at the latest!

I've never known an insurance company do be on the ball, especially when they have to pay out.

It seems we have to keep after lots of people who di not do as they say. I find that more and more now, even with important stuff, like results of medical tests! To many thngs fall through the cracks now.
