Nor'easters can occur in the eastern United States any time between October and April, when moisture and cold air are plentiful. They are known for dumping heavy amounts of rain and snow, producing hurricane-force winds, and creating high surfs that cause severe beach erosion and coastal flooding. A Nor'easter is named for the winds that blow in from the northeast and drive the storm up the east coast along the Gulf Stream, a band of warm water that lies off the Atlantic coast.

We have nor'easters here all the time. In the winter it creates blizzards with lots of snow. the weather system comes from the south and moves to the north. (I think)
Son's roommate has to take a few days off. It probably should be more time than that but he doesn't want to miss out, I guess.
Don't have medicine specifically for migraines(that would require going to a dr.), although what I took was given to D#1 for her migraines. She gets them several times a year.

Al Roker has script writers and flunkies to look things up.

I read last month about sports-induced concussions and the article said the athletes go back too soon. It was about football, of course, but the principle is the same.

According to Hubby, nor'easters blow heavy winds from the NE to the SW.

Stella, most migraine specific meds only work to prevent migraines and have to be taken right as it begins to be effective. Other than that, pain meds are used at other times to ease the pain (unless they've come up with something new in the last six months!).

Rola, tell them I said Happy Birthday. I won't sing (the poor birdies will fall out of the trees).

When we get nor'easters, they always show the system coming up the coast, usually from the Gulf, and it carries so much warm moisture, that when it mixes with our cold air from Canada, we get clobbered with snow.
