Gday Brenda, its a curse! I cannot believe that I would ever say the first thing I do everday is turn on and catch up. My family have started walking around shaking their heads. They dont sorta say much, just mutter and look bewildered!

Got to go and get my parrot up, she is still covered in her cage but is now saying 'up' all the time. She can hear me typing on the laptop so knows I am around

Well I don't have to hide my being on the laptop, as my job entails its use. Whe we are all in the whole family end up with laptops on their knees doing something or other on them.

The silly thing is that even though we can be sitting next to someone we sometimes communicate using MSN... sad isn't it

The parrot likes to think it can type but its vocab is limited so would be a boring conversation

I do the accounts for a Software company

I feel the same way about mobile phones Brenda. It drives me crazy to see two people sitting next to each other, talking on phones!

Communication in the company (which is very small) is usaually done via email, msn etc very rarely will anyone use the phone

I do the bookkeeping for Son#1 Web Design Business , not that that makes big bucks, but helps pays the Bills while at Uni..
He also has a casual job at Uni, in their web site department

Must think about going out and getting a p/t job. It was nice to be home to start with but hit a bit of a rut and I dont know that THIS is the best way of 'getting out of the house'.

In the old days (before SA and other chat places) you knew you were hooked on the 'net if when you got up through the night to visit the bathroom you loged on to the pooter to see if you had any emails.
