I slowed down today. Did so much this week.

Sorry for the momentary delay. Hubby wanted to show me a brochure he got today.

Are your temperatures near 90 the last day or so? That's what we've been having, and theoretically our weather heads toward Ohio.

We've had some great sunny days, but could use some rain.

It was 86 yesterday and 84 today. All the rain missed us.

Maybe next week we'll get some rain.

Got the hose out to water the garden. While I'm bent over, hubby pipes up with, 'Thing's are looking a little droopy.' Almost blasted him until I realized he was talking about the veggie plants.

Read some of the posts about it. Will try to catch up on everything this weekend.

We put in some new bushes this spring, so the water bill keeps creeping up from the watering they need.

Speaking of posts, I am so far behind on reading posts. I'm finally up to about page 75. I try not to ask stupid questions or ask about something that's already been explained, so thought I should read post that happened during about a week and a half without computer.

No question is stupid. How are you supposed to know if you don't ask.

Just hate to ask when people have already explained things a few times.

MizTricia has kindly made 2 avatars and e-mailed them to me, but my computer seems not to want or know how to save them as jpg format. It seems to prefer bmp. But I think jpg is required to submit them. I guess I'll try tomorrow.

Have you tried alligator bags? Our town planted new trees and put them around them.

By the way, I like your sense of humor re: things looking droopy.

What paint program do you have?

I've seen some alligator bags around. (Didn't know that's what they're called, but I imagine I'm thinking about the same thing you mentioned.) I think our bushes are too small for them to work. I've seen them on small (1 or 2-inch diameter) trees around here.

Still not sure if he really was talking about the plants. Gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was sitting there with an innocent look on his face.

I don't think I have a paint program. Where should I look?

Maybe check out the local garden store. They might not have them, but might be able to give you some suggestions. I know there is stuff you can put around or in the soil that absorbs the water and keeps it moist for your plants.

We mulch our plants to try to keep in moisture, but haven't added anything to the soil.

Google Paint Shop Pro. I used to have their address. If you want I can look for it and post it on your page. They give you a trial period then you have to buy it to use it again.

I think our comments are crossing in mid-air. It seems like a comment from you appears a couple of comments after I make one, so I'm not answering the right question or responding to the right comment.

I don't remember the name. One of the stores around here had it on sale this week. I'll look through the ads tomorrow and give you the name of it.
