Enjoy her visit and tell her you love her. It is important to know that when they are no longer with us that you feel you have done the best for them and that they knew that all the love they have given us has been returned. It is important for your own peace of mind.

MizT, I can't imagine that much responsibility at 12 years old. Very tough.

That was not meant to happen!
Sorry I was being a bit deep Suzy but I know what it was like when my parents went and I was pleased that I felt I had done my best.It made it easier to accept.

I will June, though on a recent fine day she asked me how many loads of washing I had done - did I mention I'm in my 40's? It's hard to be patient, but Kate and CPs news will make me think before I get annoyed I hope.

Suzy you still have to be yourself, get annoyed if that is how your mother knows you.

Agree with you June - my Mum may still be alive but, oh how I wish she was still the Mum who annoyed me by ringing at the worst time and giving me advice I didn't want or need (I thought). Now she's like a two-year-old but I just wish I could ring her up when I feel like a chat or need help with a crossword clue or get annoyed at the Government. Sometimes I walk out of her nursing home with tears in my eyes. My thoughts are with Kate and CP at this time too, and with everyone who has lost their Mum.

Taking my Aunt to visit Mum tomorrow and then on Saturday we're having morning tea at my sister's place for Mother's Day, even though it's not until Sunday. Hope she'll go back into the home quietly. Last time she was taken out, she refused to go back - it was awful - but they said she calmed down quickly (forgets she's annoyed).

Broni lovely to see you here even if for a short time. Your hospital must be good, ours here don't have internet access (maybe the private ones do but no one I know has used one of those lately)
Hope you get well soon

Good morning all! Cloudy today but nice!
I'm so happy to hear from you Broni! Saying a prayer that the meds work quickly and the infection clears. Get well soon!

Also happy news that Win is ok. Every time I hear something on the news it seems to be getting worse there. Hopefully, they will accept help soon!

Morning Stella and a good night to the ladies from Oz.

coffee is on, but will someone please replinish our supply of milk? We seem to be out at my location this morning.

Good to hear Win survived the cyclone, I am glad she checked in with us. Sending up prayers for her continued safety and some degree of necessities and comforts will be provided.

Good Afternoon All.....Happy news for most...Great....However, still some dark clouds around...recent reports for bad weather near MizT...keeping fingers crossed that all will be okay and she and hubby will simply spend time in the dome.
Suzy...hope the school meet went well, and you can sit back and relax a bit as your mum visits...and....its okay to become annoyed, as long as you understand that mum means well.

MAMACIETA, yes, there is a tornado watch for our area, but no warnings as of 3:00 Pm for my area. The line of storms possibly containing tornadoes is still a few miles west of us. we are keeping a weather eye open. We just had a little pop up shower in front of the line of storms. thise tend to rob the atmosphere of some of the heat of the day and energy available to the approching storm, hope it lessens our chance of severe weather.

Bet you guys are learning more than ya ever wanted to know about weather patterns in Alabama hehehe.

MARY, thank you for the flowers, they are lovely. Might I copy those and use also? I have not made myself a boquet of flower smilie yet.

Storm was not severe in my area, there were some tornado warnings for north of us, but I do not think there was a touch down close to us. The radar can see if the storms are rotation up in th e air, but still cannot tell if they are " on the ground" doing damage.

I had a nice little visit with hubby in his office in the dome. I drew some floor plans for him, and we chatted and watched the TV weather people, played with the kitties who go to shelter with us most of the time. It was an enjoyable couple of hours today. Thanks all for thinking about us, we are fine.

Now, off to the kitchen to fling food. Most of it is c9oked, so should not take too long.

How quiet we all are today....
Interesting the way we oscillate from frivolous [almost ribald at times] behavior to more somber , quieter moments of reflection....
It has certainly been a weeks of highs and lows on the site.... lets hope the word from Win is the start of an even patch.... one gets giddy with so much emotion. to all....

Take care,
Broni
