CynB, glad to hear the good news on your squashing.
June, congrats on your win. Good luck on the semis. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
MizT, please blow some of that warmth up my way. It's been cold and dank here for ages. BTW, how was the burgundy chicken?

Hi Mamacita! Mum painted the fence. She also did the side of her shed, though it was more of a scene. Since then people who have seen or heard about it have asked her to do theirs! She has offered to do the side of my shed when she comes back at Xmas. The Aussie Lantern came about because we couldn't get a pumpkin last year. None of the shops had them!

BECKY, Burgandy chicken was a hit, hubby said please buy that again. AND it was enough for 2 meals, so he will get his wish next really busy day I have. Nice to have something easy for those days.
I must remember to write down the name of that item on my grocery list tmeplate, and will check out the freezer case for other offerings from that company. If they are as good as this one was . . .

It is time for coffee!
My cuppa was very satisfying today, think I shall have one more, maybe the third? surely not the fourth? but who is counting??
Today is a lovely day, was cool enough to turn off AC last night and open windows> Milder temps are expected today. YEAH, I might go most of the day with doors and windows open, that is a good thing.
Finished the mowing for the week on Monday, but need to do the trim. Today's cooler temps might get me out and whipper snipping today.
Yes, we have extremes in temps, but neither lasts too long. We have about 6 weeks of the really hot and humid, and in winter, a day or 2 at a time of the cold, with mild winter days in between. BUT it is colder than 50 many days. And we watch for tornadoes, but one has never found me, yet. close a couple of times, and I still go to shelter for storms, since mobile homes (transportables you call them?) are unsafe in tornadoes.

Good morning all! Don't have time to go back and catch up with everyone. Spring pick-up is this week and trying to get all of the junk out of the house. Been busy with appointments and Max had his Spring concert last night. It was very nice but we didn't get home until 10:30 and we were one of the first ones to leave the reception after the concert. Trying to find someone to go see Indiana Jones with me tomorrow. This will be a record for me, 2 movies in a week! I usually only go to the movies 3 times a year, but Indiana is something I can't miss on the big screen!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Just time for a quick hello as I'm shutting everything down... time for bed
Suzy.. what a pity I missed you. Had a few problems in the kitchen... my menu was voted out! [maybe i stir fry a bit too often...] We ended up with something easier tho.. shop bought ravioli. I think it is time I took a leaf out of Gails book... it isn't the cooking that is the problem... it is deciding what to cook!!

Stella... I am so looking forward to the latest Indiana Jones movie and Mama Mia...
I love going to the movies and try to go once a week. My 'movie going friend' rarely misses a thing [or so it seems to me] and come Oscars time she ensures that she has seen every film that has been nominated...
I think it AMAZING!!! She is a fountain of information tho... can always refer me to a film to suit my mood... we love comedies 'cause we laugh at the same things. It is unbelievably SATISFYING watching something and NOT have to explain what you find so funny.

Brenda.. what are the new roses called? [lurve roses - had 54+ before the drout]
I have 3 new Heritage roses waiting to go in... I recycle/reuse everything - a friend was revamping her garden and was digging them out. I'm trying to prepare a new bed for them before winter sets in properly.. half done now but my knee keeps packing it in a causing a halt in the proceedings.

Bean, didn't get to go shopping for my friends roses as she had forgotten a hospital appointment she had to attend. Will go next week to see what she wants. They have to be container roses as she has had her garden block paved. She isn't a gardener and having had both her hips replaced she couldn't do much gardening now.

Hello, all. June, when I was learning to play golf I often played with a 76 year-old woman who beat me regularly -- at first. She motivated me to play better. I hope you win your championship. Get motivated!

HI ALL, I am here for all the sympothy I can get today. I have a boo boo, I fell in the bedroom. Scared me as much as hurt me, as I was in the house alone and the phone was across the room. Thought I would have to lie on the floor forever (slight exageration, but that kind of feeling) Took me a while to work out how to get to the phone and get hubby in from the dome, but I am resourceful.
anyhow, I have a very sore knee now and some sore toes, OUCH! Hubby did a fast check and pronounced nothing broken. "You are just going to be sore a few days" yep, can tell that already.
I indulged in a rare pain pill, cause not only the knee, but I jarred everything, and old bones do not like being jarred. Now, I shall take a nap, and hope it is better when i wake up this afternoon.
Thanks for letting me whine a bit

Ooh MizT, sorry to hear about your boo boo. Know exactly how you feel, though. Few years back, I fell in our back yard and hubby wasn't home. Started to crawl towards the door when the neighbor saw me and helped me into the house. So, you've got all my sympathy.
Hope you're not too stoved up and are up and about soon.

MizT, I'm sorry to hear about your boo boo too. My mother had a similar experience when she dislocated her new hip in the front yard. It was the middle of a work day so it was probably an hour before someone heard her calling and came to help. She was very sunburnt and very sore by the time they came. We tried to get her to carry a mobile/cell phone after that but she wouldn't consider it.

She has been and gone... She has suggested the girls take a train and bus to go out to see her next school holidays. d2 is extremely intimidated by the idea. She has until September to get used to it though and maybe we'll do some trips to Sydney or something to help her between now and then....

Hi Everyone...I need to go fling some pots around, but had to say hello.
Hey Suzy....Tell your mum that I need her to visit me and paint my privacy fences like yours...that is so neat. Great story.
MizT ...you sure have my symphany...those hurtful, unexpected jolts to our systems are not to be dismissed too lightly...be careful and continue to feel better. I've been there as recently as my first day in Paris....scared the daylights out of me...but didn't stop me from spending my money!!!!LoL! Peaceand Love...
