yep! Over the topp we went!
When I opened my overnight case, that I keep the medicine, shampoo, etc, I found one of the bottles had leaked and I had to take everything out and throw half of it away! I guess it needed to be reorganized anyway! Now I must get back to packing and laundry. Not enough hours in the day to get everything done. I should have started earlier!

MizT my pond is a slightly larger version of this one.

we have a different type of fountain which has a UV light built into it, which stops the water turning green with the sunlight. The only other maintainance it really needs is an annual clear out of dead leaves etc and a thinning of any water plants.

, All! Stella, congrats on the TOPP, but I'm sorry to hear about your trouble with leaking bottles in the overnight case! Good luck with the rest of the packing, and have a wonderful time on the way and at Disney World, and on the return trip! Hi, Brenda! The pond in the link looks restful and refreshing. Your description of how much care is needed for it is reassuring. Unfortunately, I don't think hubby sees a need for such embellishments to the landscaping.

Stella, have a wonderful trip to Disney. Good luck with the packing.
We travel quite a lot and have long flights to leave Australia. I put containers of liquid type things into zip lock plastic bags so that if they leek I have a second chance of it not getting everywhere.

JULIE I did not think I was up THAT early today, 6:30 maybe? Never to late for tea, not with the magic cyber pot, it is always ready and always fresh!
I got the grass cut, first of many times for the season. Well, I did the riding mower bit, and told hubby he needed to trim around all the buildings. Hope he will, not sure I am up to doing that, even with my smaller electric weed eater.
what is it you call it down under and across the pond? Weed Whacker? String trimmer?

flooding story:
we had moved into this house 2 months, (14years ago), we had a whopper of a storm (lasting a few days) come thu Perth.
7.00am, Monday Morning, Hubby had already left for work, pouring rain, hail, gale force winds, th boys cuddling up with me in bed before getting ready for school.
I can hear what sounds like a tap running.. so I go down the hall, oh no.. water pouring in the meals area, between the top of the window and the ceiling.

I ring Hubby, he came home, and discovered that the hail had blocked the gutters and the water was going thru the eaves into the house..
meanwhile, 4 year old Son #2, hysterical at this stage, said, 'told you we should have lived at Grandma's home till the grass was in'. Our house was a newly built home, and the garden and lawns was not in.. lovely black dirt!!!

Once hubby had cleared the gutters of the hail, no more water in the house..
I moped up with towels - lots of towels..
We rang the builder and got another Downpipe in..
Child eventually settled down, and both boys wnet to shool as normal.

Hey Rolanda, I too have a flooding story. Many years ago, mid-summer, hubby decided to check inside roof. Come Christmas Day, we were shocked to see it raining! Not as shocked as we were to see rain pouring into Sarah's room from the ceiling. Hubby forgot to replace tiles! It was Christmas, so we had to laugh!

Good flood stories Mary and Rolanda!
I've had 2 floods inside my home - both dishwasher induced! First, in our old house, the water flowed out of the kitchen into the lounge - soaked carpet, TV unit - while we slept!
Second was here when hose blew - water all through kitchen units (but we caught it before it got to the carpets). Parts of kitchen units were replaced by insurance.

The bottles are now in zip-lock bags!
My niece could not get home. The garage waited until noon to look at it. The she had to call them and they said it was the head gasket but they didn't know how much it would cost and would call her back with an estimate. She had to call them again at 2:30 and they said it would cost $2500! She doesn't have that kind of money. She's a single mom with 3 kids. She told them she couldn't afford to get it fixed. They wouldn't stay open after 4:30, so we couldn't go get any of her belongings since it would take at least an hour to get there. They said they would keep her car but she has to pay them for the towing. The whole thing sounded fishy to me. The cost of repair is all labor since the part is only $100. So they can fix her car and then sell it for a good profit. She's trying to figure out how she could tow it back to her house. She thinking of renting a u-haul and trailer and towing it that way. It would still cost $360, but a friend of hers has a garage and would fix it over time (when he gets a chance), just for the cost of parts. What a mess!!! Of course, this drama also meant that I spent much of today trying to figure out a solution and NOT packing!
Hopefully, everything will work out tomorrow. (we did offer to lend her our van. but it is 16 years old so there was no guarantee that it wouldn't break down as well.)

Today I went to the dentist. Haven't been for many years. I promised myself I would when I quit smoking because the receptionist has been trying to get me in for a while now. Just a new patient check today. It wasn't too bad. Next appointment in a month for the hygienist. Will someone come with me and hold my hand? I am not fond of dentists.

On my way home, there was rain at the lake that turned to snow when I got 3 km up my road. When I got home, there was a message that today was the first baseball practice for Amber at 5:30. By 4:30 the sun was shining so down we went for baseball. It ended at 7:30 and I was frozen. The sun goes behind the mountain before it sets so it didn't warm up at all. If baseball has started that must mean it will warm up, I hope.

Hello, again! Wow, Rena! Baseball practice has started and it's the first week of April. No wonder you froze! Stella, I'm sorry to hear about your niece's vehicle. I hope you and she can work out a way to get it back home. It sounds like that would be much less expensive, but quite a challenge to accomplish. Good luck with your trip! Ruby, that one word says it all! MizT, good for you for getting the lawn mowed. Good flooding stories, Rolanda, Mary and CynB! (The stories are good, but the flooding was not.) Great packing idea for liquids, June!
