I rode a bike for about 5 years - only had one bad accident, and even then I only damaged my feet (shhh, wasn't wearing the right shoes!).

Not sure I'd let my kids ride in Sydney like I did though. I'm more protective than my mother....

Angelique is growing I'm told...She lives too far away for me to have seen her since I was in California when she was born unfortunantly....but since my daughter is getting remarried in August, I hope to see her then. I keeptrying to get new pictures and hope they come soon.

hmmmm, looks as if I'm talking to myself now....

I have just been feeding 'my' butcher bird. (smaller bird related to a kookaburra, so called because it will kill very small birds). It has an injured wing, can fly but probably had to catch insects in flight. Sits at my front door in the morning and sings till I give it some meat. Mama they have a lovely song, nothing like the kookaburras laugh.

Oh well, I'll hang around and sing a song...that will bring out everyone to see who is squalking...so maybe I'd better not do that.....Hmmm,too achy to dance...can't sing...what does an old lady do?....I know...Call out some'Chips".....let'ssee what that does?

Well...they must sing better than I June since you came back...or did the 'Chips' do it for you? LOL

My birds have been very busy building nest around here..and boy do they give loud orders to others as they work....fun to watch though.

A butcher bird used to come and sit on top of the mouse cage on my back patio. Nerve wracking for the mouse I'm sure!

Oh yes, and Maxine is always right too...I will have a busy summer...Sully will have both knees done on July 1...so I'm enjoying the quiet for now!

I enjoy all the birds, i get quite a collection coming in for a feed, including the lorikeets that Ian has today on the medium sudoku puzzle

This bird sits on the cats 'house' when the cat is not in it. The cat is inside on a chair at the moment.

I always say that I'm going to read up and learn more about birds...but I never get around to it...I just get a kick out of watching them. I'm happy when I seethem identified in pictures on the site...it helps.

LoL..Suzy When I read your post I had to ask myself if I'd written that...no ...so far my knees are good...I coulduse some new lungs but otherwise I'm good.

Generally they do one knee at a time here. MIL had her knee done at age 85 and it was a great success. Wanted to know if she would get her monies worth at the time but it is still going strong and she will be 94 mext month.

Tell Sully to do as much exercise (not necessarily walking) as possible before the op and keep up the exercises as soon after as possible for the best results.

Yeah...doesn't take much when there's someone to chat with..however, its time to get something ready for dinner so I'm going to run...thanks for the chat folks...hope to catch up again...I'm happy for now...peace.

Thanks June...I'll tell him. They usually do one knee at atime here to if that's what's wanted...but he wanted to get it over with and the doctor didn't have any problem with it since he 's in pretty good shape otherwise...

A friend had one knee done last year. She was in a ward with a man who had the same op on the same day. He moaned and groaned and swore so much that it made her more determined to not moan, and to move, wanted to get home quickly. His complaints were the best thing that could have happened to her! Got her moving quickly (as in soon after the op, not as in fast movemets) and often...
