It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

I DON"T believe we can get the over 2,000 posts needed while Dame Edna Above Average is MIA. Even I can't come up with that much inanity.

I saw Vivacious Viv was lurking a little while ago, but chose not to post. She may have wanted to read, only.
I sometimes feel that I'm expected to comment on everybody else's posts if I say "hello". I can't always think of the right thing to say, or someone else has already said it. I figure that I'm not the only one who thinks that.

So quiet here. You'd think everyone else had moved to another page.

Hi, Heidi! You're the only one to post on this page so far. Another great TOPP!

I've been having a hard time getting to both SA pages and getting ffuts done and trying to do therapy/exercises. I guess life is WAY too much fun! (Note the sarcasm.)

I think MizT is indulging us loonies. Maybe she's trying to see how far we'll go.

YEP... There is no limit to how far we will go...

Heidi I get what you mean about making 'comments'...
'The right thing to say' has invariably been said by quite a few SA'ers and a page of comments of us all saying the same thing could seem a little ...I can't think of the word...I'll settle for redundant..overkill...you get what I mean..
I often just nod my head if someone has expressed what I am feeling, sometimes post "'ditto' what Suzy said"...she says it so well...or a simple 'thinking of you' if someone is going through a hard time. If it is something I have a strong opinion about it I will make it. Mostly it is zilch.

Don't worry about anyone that may be 'expecting' you to comment...if that is the case then THEY have the problem...not you ... Nobody should take it to mean are uncaring. It is obvious to us all that you are NOT an uncaring person. It really is unnecessary for everybody to comment on everyones posts...

Having said that I take my hat off to Julie... she is amazing. I look for her posts to find out what I have missed!! I went thru a stage where I thought I could do a 'Julie'...didn't work. LOL... We all missed her when she was away..

I've forgotten what else I was going to say..DUH!!
Can't have been important. Catch you tomorrow some time.

She must take notes while she reads. There is no way that my damaged brain cells can remember anywhere near as much as she does. I think I've been kicked in the head by horses once too often.

Getcha ...it is all phonetic..it brings out the crazy half baked bean in me... brain is on strike today.
Chopped liver is good ...I'm ok with that...speshly cooked with bacon, garlic, onion...
then smashed up with a GOOD dollop of cognac, some cream cheese, green peppercorns and allowed to set...
Spread liberally on a sliced baguette.. YUM!

I don't know about the peppercorns but Jewish chopped liver is definitely NOT made with bacon.

She's actually gone for a few days, off having fun. Lucky girl. I am going to have to visit Tasmania one of these days. I've fallen in love with it through eaa's photos.

Hi Heidi. Okay will still post it on Wednesday, will probably take a week to get there knowing our postal service.
Yes Tasmania is lovely many people tell me.
I have not been there either.
Is your weather improving or not yet?

I love Tasmania...I want to retire there...the mainland is far too hot for me. I love the east coast [where da dame is now] but the wild & woolly west coast is probably more in keeping with my nature...

I am still in hope that there may be a few Thylacines still surviving in Tasmania. Every once in a while, there's a report of a sighting. Nothing verified.

I'm blushing from reading the kind words from Bean and Heidi! I must confess that I neither have a wonderful memory (FAR from it) nor take notes away from the page as I read. I agree that there isn't a need to comment on everyone's comment, so usually either try to find something novel or missed by others or say nothing, other than Hello!

I often feel that Mamacita and MizTricia find just the right way to say something that I couldn't put in words! And I take my hat off to eaa, who is SO clever in commenting, spelling and an occasional double entendre!

Now, I must google Thylacines. I believe I have heard of them, but don't remember much.

I also need to try to find the breed of cattle Heidi mentioned that were so ornery that she doesn't want them. I meant to look them up right away, but got so busy reading that evening that I forgot.

Thylacine = Tasmanian Wolf, or Tasmanian Tiger. They are believed to be extinct.
Limousin = an ancient (~2,000 yrs.) breed of cattle from France. Pictures of them are found as cave drawings there. They are frequently kept as estate cattle to keep grounds clipped, but aren't fooled with much. Their meat is very lean.

There is still a little hope that the Thylacine is not extinct. I hope not. They are fascinating marsupials, and beautiful.

There's no need to apologize, Heidi! I asked about the cattle breed and also commented on the Thylacine! I even found a photograph. (Also found a photograph of a Quagga.) We don't need to be silly ALL the time - just most of the time! I'm going to go check out the cattle breed. (Had you also mentioned a breed whose name is two words?)
