Heidi - I'm so glad you posted the turkey shoot and so bummed that you are sick again. I sure hope this all clears up for you soon.
to Tami's Beasty Boy!...and welcome to your mom - left a post on her page. Thought it was so cute that she called herself "Trouble's Mom" - I knew right away who she was!

For news from me: Been working in the yard - not EVEN attempting a leaf clean up as I get them up and by the next morning it looks like I haven't done a thing!
We bought our hardwood floors (Santos Mohagany) on Friday and will pick it up a week from Monday.
I'm hoping to find a picture of it I can post for you guys to see.
Looks like I'm all alone here. Guess I should get my workout in and move onto my C cards.

Hi again. Sneaking in here while hubby's picking up the last of the leaves.

Suzy, why not ask hubby to put up a screen door? Let's in the air and keeps critters out.
Congrats to Ebob and hope her throat is feeling better.

Heidi, glad to hear the birdies made it safely. Do you use them for breeding or just for show at fairs?
Instead of mono, could you have sleep apnea? My one SIL has it and wasn't diagnosed until about 5 years ago. Almost had herself convinced she had lupus.
Congrats for getting the calves and cows you wanted.

Tami, sorry to hear about your car. Some kids have no respect for others' property.

Since I moved here, I have never kept my registration in the car even tho it's the law. Hubby asked why and told him, if anyone gets hold of that info, the next stop will be the house. I also put my license in my pants pocket and my house key in the other. Call me paranoid, but figured that I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Viv, so sorry to hear about hubby's job. Could he start his own business? Around here a few guys have done that (undercut the dealerships) and have made a real go of it.

Mamacita, welcome back. Glad to hear that you had a great time out there.

Ruby, you just gave me the best chuckle I've had in a long time. Thanks and remember, we're not laughing at you, we're laughing with you. Got to admit, did a double-take here, too.

Julie, hope you're keeping warm. I think we get your weather for the most part. It's been cold and windy here. Yesterday our high was 32 ( C) with a wind chill of 16 ( C). Have I mentioned I hate winter?

June, glad to hear that Sharon was able to get home for a bit. You have my utmost admiration.

Morning all!

Rolanda – I can’t believe they’ve left already! They just got there! Just enough time to make some great memories….

Heidi – I swore I wouldn’t go to the turkey shoot, but someone emailed the link to me. I had to go then! I scored 9972 and I promise I won’t do it again…

Gail – you have a bunch of pictures I had never seen. I can’t believe it is that long since I visited your page…. Bad Suzy…

Still only up to page 29….

Cyn – I can’t wait to see the photos of the ballet concert. Actually, they might be there now, hang on…. Nope, not yet, but other photos I haven’t seen. When I get an empty house (tomorrow!) I’m going to have to go and explore everyone’s pages because there were lots of photos on your page I hadn’t seen too.

7 minutes until the morning rush, 2 hours and 7 minutes until the water is turned off (connecting a new water line across the street, the water will be off until 2pm), and probably 2 hours until hubby takes over the computer room for the day...

Morning MzT, Suzy and June (although I believe it is afternoon for you Tricia)!
Becky - you do such a great job of summing everything up. It was so great for me to read as I've been missing the past few days.
Very funny Suzy - HAHA! Of course I didn't know how to spell it, it's not English, you know?

Laura helped me put up the Christmas tree over the weekend. The fibre optics would not work so we bought some LED lights. It is a small tree so we just started at the top and went around and around to the bottom and where the lights went they stayed. Might have been different with a bigger tree MizT.(from base to top is 120cm or 4ft.) I stand it on a small table and have a piece of string from the star up to the curtain rod so that it does not get knocked off!

I always love when it's your Monday and we're still in the weekend...of course, it works just the opposite way on Friday!
Could not load the pictures of our new hardwood flooring onto the site cos it's only available in "bitmap"...if anyone is interested - here's a link: http://sacramento.simplefloors.com/products/Exotics-Flooring/Terre-Verte/Santos-Mahogany/flooring225 .aspx
Be sure to click on the "enlarge photo" and try the different views of the wood. It does look a bit redder in person. It has a real warm feeling.

June - that's a great tip! Sorry about the fibre optics...our fake tree is pre-lit, but a strand of lights no longer work, so I have to string lights into it. Not so bad. I also use cedar bows on the mantle and around the inside of the house to get that wonderful smell that comes with a fresh tree.

Sorry - found that link doesn't take you to the final page. Click on "hardwood flooring" and then scroll down to the Artisan "Terra Verte" (not the first Artisan display - the lower one)
Click on that and roll over the samples til you come to Santos Mahogany. If you click on that you can see views of the flooring up close.

Good afternoon everyone. Son was thrilled with all the birthday wishes. Mom is happy with the warm welcome she has recieved. She will post more often, once she is more comfortable with it. I have been talking her through posting but until I can sit with her and show her all the links it will take a while. I have her password and set her avatar for her.

In answer to your earlier question MizT I am just doing odd jobs with the sewing.
Like replacing a pocket in some shorts of hubby's. Taking in a top I bought. Shortening a black lace dress and a skirt.
The pile is getting too big so thought I should start on it.
Shortly will be ringing the Industrial Relations Commission again re hubby's payout.
Just want to clarify the 5 weeks severance pay he got as there is a chart there and by that he should have got 20 weeks.
But I think it is something to do with what award he is under and how the boss worded it.
Will know shortly anyhow.
Hubby has gone out leaving his resume at places and then will have to go to the workshop and bring home all his tools etc.
He is not looking forward to this.

Viv - I have some small sewing jobs I'd like to send to you, if you don't mind.
Keeping good thoughts for your hubby and his job hunting. I hope he finds a place that appreciates him enough to honor him with appropriate pay. That severance sounds very cheeky!

Gail, I don't recall your voice being as deep as it sounded in the G'day Mate. I'm sure it isn't.
Becky, I never thought of the car rego in the glove box (also compulsory here) providing a link to your address. Imagine if you leave your house keys in your car, as I do, and your car is stolen! I took my rego papers out of my car after I read your post.

CynB, I'd love to hear how the kids' dancing costumes recycling works. My girl has her concert soon, and I get so sick of the expense and work involved in making costumes each year - always hard to sew fabrics, hours spent adding sequins etc. I love to do it for her of course, but....
