the lights have all been flashing here today...VERY patchy internet connection at best. It is driving me troppo!! I do so hope that if it is a new line we need that it isn't the part that we are responsible and have to pay for...sounds very expensive to me!!!

Suzy, I was thinking exactly the same as CynB - not naive, but trusting. You've known the girl for a while I assume, and so didn't expect to be deceived. My mum has always said that people who don't trust others are the ones who can't be trusted. I wouldn't have suspected alcohol either in that example. Please don't ever become a teacher who always suspects the worst in her charges - trust that (most) students will do the right thing by you (because they will) unless you have reason to suspect otherwise.

Oh, and Suzy, those who betray your trust are the ones who have a problem, not you. In the end, they wear the consequences. You will probably never trust that girl again. I'd hate to be in the position that people didn't trust me.

No wonder children make poor choices, when they are encouraged to lie like that. suzy i cannot believe , yes I can, but you know, such behavior from a supposedly grown up. I do hope the school follows up and makes sure the Mom is aware.

WONDERFUL sleep last night, and a nap this morning. I was lying down for a second little one when my ferral neighbors decided to check out all the guns! KA BOOOM! Tomorrow deer season, guns, starts and I guess they testing them out or something. Hopefully it is early enough in the morning there is no alcohol involved! and there is room to sht them away from occupied dwellings, but they still SOUND so loud! Kitties decided inside was the place to be. Deer will be taking up thier places in front yarsa and driveways (carpark)and stay out of the pastures and fields.

I had work to do this morning. Proof read changes hubby hopes to make in web site. he worked till the wee hours this morning, came in as i was getting UP for today.

I guess my pay will be my WEB CAM, did i say i hope to be online with video by first of week??

I tricia, glad you got some sleep. I know I am up early but got about 5-6 hours and will go back again. I think we are getting a web cam for 'C' but not till then.

Vici, eaa, and others thanks for the accolades but I am not doing anything other than what you would all do in the same situation. And it now looks like I may have a 'free' weekend.
Suzy, get that Dip Ed finished. You will make a great teacher. We are all naive till we learn otherwise.

You are all so nice calling it 'trusting' rather than naive. I have known this girl since she was 6 years old, but I also knew she was hanging around with troubled teens. She won't get away with it - her twin was at the dance, and she will possibly be suspended from school.

Bean, I know what you mean about the internet connection. Ours is okay at the moment (touch wood) but I had a few days where it was slower than dial up! The good news is that every now and then it will fly for a while and boy do I have fun when it does that!

MizT, deer season sounds like it will be very un-peaceful.. How long does it last?

June, I think my mother would do exactly what you are doing (and I would think just as highly of her as we do of you), so in that way you are right. Lots of people do amazing things that we can't imagine coping with ourselves (like driving across country to watch kids play sport). You are a wonderful mother and grandmother, and you show us (by example) how to cope if we are ever in a similar situation, which makes you a good friend too.

June, did all your cupboards get moved and organised?

After doing the feeding this morning, I decided to go to the store for a few odds and ends. I ended up getting myself a Turkey TV Dinner, that comes complete with stuffing, mashed potatoes, veg. and cranberry dessert. I can have a traditional type Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

Mike did some more food shopping this a.m. and picked up Dungenous Crab and Sourdough Bagette for us to have for dinner. Can't wait!

SUZY, you perhaps treat the bush orchid too well, getting gren and lush foilage but no blooms. Be MEAN to it, stress the plant, make plant think it will die from not eohough water and it will bloom. It's only purpose in life is to reproduce itself and if it thinks things are ifffy about surviving itself, it might bloom.

Hi all...I had a little sleep and am feeling better today.
I was going to post some wedding pictures, but since it was so hard to do the SF ones, I thought I'd wait a bit...then decided to stop putting up with this @$%%% crazy computer that keeps acting up...so I just ordered a new one...it should be here next week....I can hardly wait.

Suzy....I'm glad that the young lady's mother will most likely find out about the alcohol...hopefully it will spur the parents to find out WHO she's going off in the wrong direction before its too late. The girl's behavior was a cry for help. We all learn from the actions of others...its nothing to be ashamed of to not be aware of deceit....trust, as mentioned, is always a good thing.

Oh the wait for this putter to react to my selections is sooooo slow right now...Its frustrating....
Must wish our Julie the Most wonderful birthday ever..May it be filled with the same love and concern as she shows others, as well as lots of cake and ice cream on top of a wonderfully celebrated day with loved ones.

Mamcita, if your old pooter is mucking up I hope you are backing up all your info. When mine did that a couple of years ago I thought we had everything backed up and we then transferred it to the new computer but I have never been able to find all the Email addresses that I had.
