Sorry for your friend's loss, June. I have a lovely picture of Sharon in the sun room - sounds relaxing.
MzT - must have felt kind of nice to get out. Hope you don't suffer any ill effects.
I'm feeling pretty tired. Was up at 4:00 this morning (I feel like I'm turning into a farmer for Pete's sake!)
But I am gonna call it early tonight. Big weekend for the DUGs and TGIF for us topsiders tomorrow.
Hope you all have a lovely day/evening.

MzT... after your statement, I went to my dictionary (Which needs to be replaced unfortunately, after Angel and Willow chewed on it). You are quite correct in that we are not using the word as it was originally meant. Maybe a new dictionary will also have the definition as the word is now used.

Gail...today I am just chilling.....it is what I need to do. Very emotional week on top of the trip to Swan Hill.
Thinking of rounding up a few dust bunnies and throwing out a few boxes so that I won't be too embarrassed to invite you into my home.... I have been to your place 3 times now....

HEIDI, somewhere in all of Rayray's posting, he asks if Einstien's theory or relativity was a paradigm shift. It rung a bell somewhere deep in the recesses of the murk and mire!

Oh Heidi, a real paper and ink dictionary? I could not put my hands on one here, think mine have all gone the way of the dinasoures!

I use a couple online, free dictionaries.

http://reference.aol.com/dictionary this is a merriman-websters

http://www.tiscali.co.uk/reference/dictionaries/difficultwords/

this is a good one for more obscure words. I enjoy using both of them. they will ask me, when I typo or mispell , did you mean ____ and I have not found a paper dictionary that can do that hehehe

offically past my bedtime so I need to take that long 2 steps to my bed.

VICI, thank you, Feel no ill effects from my trip out. hubby parked me right at the front door, and waited till I finished. Then he did the walking for his erands, and I sat in the car waiting. Sitting in auto was not uncomfy either, that is good.

I will be absent most of tomorrow morning, must go to visit the surgeon and should get the pathology report, nice to make it OFFICAL, you know. I want to go to a wedding rehersal of friends tomorrow. Al must go, he is the sound man, doing thier music over whatever sound system they have. Dinner served, so I do not have to cook, but will depend on how the doc appointment goes and if he says i can resume all activity, and if I get a nice nap in between hehehe. We will see.

Good luck tomorrow, MzT. I think everything will go well.

I adore my books, and consider my "real paper and ink dictionary to be wonderful. I get to see so many other words while trying to look one up. That may be why I have yet to meet anyone who can beat me in scrabble.

June is Queen!

Everything crossed that the pathology report supports the surgeon's beliefs about your op MizT.

Bean, if you ever do run into my mother in Swan Hill you'll know what I look like. I'm mistaken for her all the time. Which is very upsetting since she is 20 years older than I am!!!

I think I have a dictionary from every year each of my children attended high school! There certainly seems to be a very large box of virtually unused text books somewhere around!

Dictionaries, I am not counting. Keep a small 'School Oxford' one beside the pooter, Still use the concise Oxford I had in High School in the '50's. Plus crossword, Macquarie Thesaurus, foreign language, I can count six without getting up from the pooter.

hello girls. i am feeling like crappola today. i stayed in bed all day cause when i stood up it felt like my face would explode. sis came and got elsa(2). when the kids came home from school benny(17) took over. the kids played for a while, then he called in some chinese delivery, put the little ones in bed while the zachery(14) and daisy(9) cleaned up the kitchen. the older ones got their homework done then went to bed. it was actually a great day. i was very proud of my good kids.

sound like everyone has been off and having fun with get togethers. i am so jealous. i wish i were an aussie. actually you ladies do a lot of ironing so i take that back. i just take my stuff to the cleaners if it has to be ironed. do you iron t-shirts and jeans? my aunts in italy iron everything, underwear, t-shirts, sheets. maybe excessive ironing is a non american thing.

Gotta go rattle them pots and pans...his nibs is hungry....
Just asked Lachie to go check that there was kettle in the water and to turn it on... it is sad state of affairs that he knew EXACTLY what I meant...sad thing is I seem to be getting worse as I get older...I was a shocker when I was younger...don't know how anyone ever understood what I meant when I started school!!!

I think at the moment, as it stands, there will be five of us, including yourself. That may rise to 6-8 if a couple of others who have expressed interest end up coming.

Evening all! Looks like I missed everyone...

Ally has bounced back quickly and seems to be on the mend already, though she has a nasty cough. Ebob is white with exhaustion. The good news is that she didn't have to do the history test today! Nice teacher.

Mariana - Wonderful kids! And I bet they know how proud you are of them.

Rolanda - I checked out the photo of you good looking broads!

Bean - hubby shakes his head when Mum and I talk about thingamebob's and whatsitdoovits and know exactly what each other is talking about....
