I am pleased to report that the pumpkin pies turned out DELISH! I cannot believe that my first attempt worked out!
But I'm now so full (also had spaghetti) that I cannot move.

Plan B sounds like almost as fun as a pic a nic outside! Tim Tams... I have been resisting buying them because I would eat too many...

Broni... Do you mean to say that you've NEVER had pumpkin pie with whipped cream?? I am shocked! To me, it rivals chocolate as a perfect food.

Heidi Pumpkin Pie is not something we make here in Australia.. plenty of other pumpkin foods we do make .. eg soup, scones, roast pumpkin....

Vici... There's still plenty. I made 2 huge pies from the one smallish pie pumpkin.

I love stuffed roast pumpkin, too. Wild rice and lean ground meat with seasonings are a wonderful stuffing.

The Bistro Cheesecake is bigger, and will feed more!!

Stuffed??? nah, we dont stuff ours.. just cut into pieces and roast with the roast meat and Potatoes, and onions.... !!!

I like to stuff the little 'Nugget' ones...it also makes a really nice risotto with lots of bacon, onion and parmesan and I love it with pasta..lasagna, ravioli or cannelloni...
We are having roast pumpkin tonight [my favourite] but I haven't decided what to have with it yet...have so chicken mince defrosting so I might make a meatloaf or something.....any ideas anyone?

Having unexpected visitors here in a while. A friend from Adelaide and her two daughters are popping in around 2ish for drinks and nibblies.
Never seen a whirlwind like it...me cleaning the house this morning!

Bean, what do you THINK I was doing up at 2.30! Certainly wasn't insomnia as Ian seems to think! Date night had just fini9shed and I was checking out the net to see if we were back up to normal speed...I am pleased to say we are...THEN I was heading off to bed!

Sorry Heidi never tried, pumpkin pie, but reckon I have a pumpkin that will make about half a dozen pies. Nor have I tried stuffed pumpkin that sounds good....oh what a sheltered life I lead.

The stuffed pumpkin recipe I have is a Native American dish. That's probably why you aren't familiar with it.
