Good one Suzy! We are off to Luna Park for the day. (Like Coney Island). An historical tour but do get a ride on the Ferris Wheel. For those OS it is just under the Harbour Bridge and on the water front. A nice place to spend the day with friends.

Suzy, good place for inexpensive meals in Port is the RSL club.
Tricia, sorry you missed the commitment ceremony but at least you made the practice dinner. Glad the stitches have dried up.
Also pleased to hear Ohio is slowly getting their power back.
Must go and get ready for day out. Cheers All!

Vici...WOW!
Thanks for emailing the pics of your house extension. My house is large enough now, but I do need lots of 'things' done, when will you be free?
You must have doubled the size of the original house, it looks huge now.
BTW Love your toolbelt!

MizT, I am sorry you didn't get to witness the commitment ceremony too, but I think you made a wise choice. Luckily you had seen the rehearsal.

And I have to go and fling food! vsught up on the posts just as my timer called me. I am making mac and cheese, steamed broccoli, cauliflower mix, and the meat loaf I tossed together yesterday. Jarred peach/pineapple smoked pepper salsa and mince, mix and cook, yummy.

Thank you all for doing the Medium and seeing Craig and Tiffani...I submitted it as a Medium, but knew they hit the jigsaws, too. Only started playing the jigsaws about a month ago - how dumb am I to miss that???

Yummy sounding din-din MzT!
Gail - how can you break the site when you're not even on it??? You are one POWERFUL Dag!
Speaking of Gail...just had lunch with a friend (hehehe) and saw Burn After Reading - which I absolutle LOVED! I am a big Coen brothers fan. My friend and I laughed out loud throughout the film and George was fabulous! Brad Pitt was hysterical, too.

Picked up Super Chook burritos at a local Mexican restaurant for dinner. I'm off to watch the very last game ever to played at Yankee Stadium - cannot believe they are going to tear that place down. Will be on my laptop after dinner, so hope to catch up with you all then.
Hugs for DUGs and Topsiders!

They are going to tear down Yankee Stadium????? That's like tearing down the US Capitol! I'm not a Yankees fan, but that place is an institution.

LOVED the pictures of the house, Vici. I am SO impressed. Beautiful job!!!!!

Gail, I TRIED to get on site earlier, but I couldn't. I did not abandon you intentionally.

Back for a bit...

June, thanks for the recommendation. We might just give the RSL a try! You don't stay home much do you?

Gail, I would have been here but I was on the phone trying to find accomodation in Port for the long weekend - something you should definitely not leave to the last minute! Managed to get us a caravan, which will be fine as we won't be 'home' much.

Can't believe they are going to tear down Yankee Stadium! Must ask hubby if he knows...

Suzy, from the time I was ten until high school we let our horse and pony keep the yards mowed. They didn't discover they could run away until about the time the big pasture was ready for them, so it worked out great.

It's been cloudy and cool here all day. Very sleepy weather.
Vici, I want to see that movie.
June, sorry you lost, but glad you are free for a while.
MizT., it's a crying shame that people like your friends will loose benefits if they marry. They are not in their 20's.

You might have had a fairy cleanerupperer Ruby.. When we've had horses in the yard before they picked a spot or two and mainly left the rest of the yard clear. Still needs cleaning up though.

I guess I'm talking about three acres. That sort of thing, being rather natural, wouldn't have made a big impression on me, either.

Much bigger Ruby. We have just over 1.5 acres, but the part the horse will be 'mowing' is just a part of that.

I was timed out then!!!

I made this post, posted it, saw it on the page, tried to refresh and got the time out page twice. When I finally got back here, my original post was gone. I'm going to watch TV. See ya, Suzy!

Is the site still broken? It gets so frustrating to have to wait and wait for a post to go through and then it not go through.

Suzy, if you need the garden fertilized fore the recybled grass has rested enough ( I know it takes at least a year from cow, not sure about horse) You can make Manure Tea. Just a bit of the fresher stuff in a big bucket of water and use sparingly to water the plants. Google it for more information about how much solid to how much liquid, I have forgotten, but have done it.

Dinner was a hit with hubby. Then he ran back to the office dome to practice his guitar. as it is electric with an amp, I am right happy he is practicing out there hehehe. He did show me what he had learned, earlier today when he invited me out for a while. Learning new tricks, I mean skills, and getting his fingers toughened up again too. he does this by fits and starts and therefore cannot keep them in guitar playing condition.

OK, I need something else to drink, did not get near enough today! after a while I get tired of swallowing hehe. Do not want any of that manure tea though.

Back for a minute. I've been googling manure tea and aged manure. There seems to be a zillion different opinions, but in general I think 6 months of 'aging', put some in a bag (hessian, old pillow case), submerge in water for 1 to 3 days, dilute the resulting tea at about a half a cup per bucket not full strength. Does that sound right MizT???

I have found that fresh stuff, soaked thoroughly for a week works well, but you just use the liquid, not the solids. That's for horse apples.

My lawn tends to be lush and green because I use no insecticides whatsoever. I try to encourage Dung Beetles instead. They bury all my dog's droppings in the yard, so I don't have to pick up after 17 Collies, and turn it into fertilizer.

Vici, love your extensions and will you be in to enjoy them when the winter commes. Building where you are is very different to here due to climate and clay for bricks. (also termite problem with timber!)
With the enlarged house you will have room for your Sudoku family to come and visit! (How many extra bedrooms?)

Hubby knew about Yankee Stadium. We have had one visit there in September 2001 when everything was very patriotic. We wanted to go again in 2006 when in NY but there were no tickets available.

Just on the phone to Laura and she wants to know if the birds she has been feeding have been looking for her.
That is OK but the white cockies have been around and got behind the netting and pulled about 100 ripe oranges from my tree
