Hummm, over an hour since the last post. I don't suppose I'll get an answer. Just dropped by. It's 5:00 am here and I just dropped in on my way back to bed from the loo.

Evening all! Back from netball - the game was cut short due to lightning...

No walking today June - thank goodness. If I'd been caught out in that massive downpour EVERYTHING would have been soaked.

How cute that L wanted to know about the birds. But stinky about them getting under the netting...

Ruby, A few orages but mainly all the grapefruit some months ago. I generally try to get a net over part of the orange tree as it is not quite as big. It is nice to be able pick a few oranges and have really fresh juice for breakfast.

Fair enough June, no need to apologise to me. Heidi asked for the link and I gave it is all.
FYI I 'signed' the petition in February and have not received any spam etc from it. No details are asked for except a name, which can be a nom de plume and a location, no email address is asked for.
Just had a squizz at today's names on the petition and I am so very pleased to say that there are at least a dozen names of members from this site who have signed since I put up the link. I am absolutely stoked.

SAers..

just a normal typical Monday here.. washing and more washing, some ironing, went to curves, pottered about, cooked dinner..........

The 'pic a nic' at my house went well. We did manage a walk around the neighbourhood later in the afternoon, which is what we would have done had we gone to the National Park.

This morn's temp 1C, was coldest on record for Sseptember.

Hope all the NSW people are safe from the storms and winds. We had gusts up to almost 60kph - while Ally was playing netball - and heavy rain and a little hail earlier, but it seems quiet now. Hope it stays that way!

We got a bit of wind (the blowy type) but no rain Suzy. A bit of a breeze now but nothing more.
I have uploaded a few photos from todays trip to Luna Park. It brought back memories from visits when we were teenagers. We did have a ride on the ferris wheel and the merry-go-round (carousel) today.
Hi Rolanda. You had a cold day and on Saturday we had the hottest day this year (including the summer months of Jan. and Feb). Sounds like you had an enjoyable day.

Rolanda, I washed too. I got the second last load off the line seconds before the rain hit - even though the rain hit with no warning. My last loud dried in no time at all because of the winds. I find it a little depressing that that makes this a good day...

Good morning all! Spent the weekend getting some of the air conditioners out of the windows. Realized that the windows needed paint, desperately! (actually, they need to be replaced, but that will have to wait til the future) It took forever and I am sore. Still have more windows to do. Must get going. A billion things to do and Max has his first soccer game this afternoon.

Have a great day/night everyone!

Morning sudoluland! I slept late again today, nice, since extra sleep is healing time.

Coffee is espically good today, come join me for a cup.

Bean, you read right, hubby traded a copy machine for his daughter Joy hehehe. the OBGYN doc needed a copy machine, and took same in exchange for prenatal care and delivery fees. Joy loves telling that story, always good for an ice breaker.

OH MY JUNE, BAD BIRDS there!! whatever will you do with 100 ripe oranges? Make juice and freeze? I have a nice recipe for orange marmalade, usually make a bit around christmas time, or when oranges are plentiful and save for Christmas. You could make a LOT with 100 oranges!

Hello to rolanda and to June, Gail, Suzy and RUBY. Good to see all of you.

Having laundry in and dry before a bitg rain would have made my day also. I hate having my clothes rinsed again! AND if it has been dry for a while here, lots of dust in the air, they sometimes get rinsed in muddy water!

RUBY, I hope you went back to sleep after your early morning nature call!

Rolanda, that does seem like a really cold start to your day, glad it improved. Glad your picnic at home went well, and all enjoyed the nature walk in your neighborhood.

OFF to read EASY, hope to see Heidi and VICI before long, would be nice to see some of the other topsiders today also. If you are reading and lurking, check in RENA and BECKY and OH I should not start with names I know I am forgetting many, but having a senior moment here today!

Tricia, as well as pulling the oranges from the tree the cockies had bitten in too them all. (found about 6 still whole) so had to put them all in the bin. I use the oranges for fresh juice or I have a good orange cake recipe.
Nothing like juice 10 minutes after the oranges have been picked from the tree!!

Hi everyone, and good Maen to all.

I got a call from my Doctor's office this morning. They have asked me to come in first thing tomorrow morning for MORE fasting blood work. The nurse I talked to didn't know anything. So either they found something, or the first tests were messed up. Since it has been a week since the last blood was drawn, I don't think that the other blood was lost.

Morning all!

Did you see Heidi steal 22 on Easy by cheating? She used an emergency vehicle so every one had to get out of her way! Amazing that it worked, it wouldn't have in my home town. People here own the road...

I already have an appointment scheduled with my Doctor on Wednesday afternoon. That was to be for a follow-up for the first group of blood tests. I'll get some answers then. I hope.

Just got back from taking the 3 cows to the stock yard. One of them spent the entire time (1/2 hour) flinging herself around in the trailer, so the truck and trailer were dancing all over the road. It was pretty hair raising. I'm SO glad that's over with. Now I have to go out and hose out the trailer. I do that after every use. That way the trailer looks better, smells better and lasts longer.
