Had about 2 inches of rain overnight here but you would not know it.
Only that the garden is growing very fast.

Viv, I think we should be able to start using the 'c' word down under. The overs do not start till after thanksgiving.
I have 2 fruit 'C' cakes cooking in the oven now. Actually they are for the trading table at the bowling club.

Hope everyone in Brissie is OK. We had Probus meeting this morning and I have had Laura this afternoon.(have just taken her home) so I have not had time to catch up. just skimmed through the posts. I did get the puzzles done at some time during the night.

Susan, I thought feral meant some animal with good survival instincts, as a domestic cat that escapes to the rural countryside and manages to remember all the instincts of it's ancestors who once roamed free. I do not think of feral as a bad trait in animals. But I have heard of feral reffering to rowdy children before.

I'm afraid I have some bad news for Ruby...
I took a lovely video of everyone at the table waving and saying "hello" to post on my page. We were in the thick of the party, so I never checked to see if I got it properly before switching the camera back to the picture mode.
Yes, you guessed it - it never showed up on my memory card, so I made some sort of error. I'm as sad as you are for the operator error...it was a great clip. Rob did take a video also, so hopefully when they return from their trip we can get Kathy to upload the video for us.

Susan, I am trying to learn Aussie Slang. Some is so different from ours you know. Heck some of OURS is different now. Tami gave me a nice slang term other day, never heard that one before, but could not spell it if I tried.

Lots of disasters around with fires and storms.The news is mostly depressing,so I dont like to watch.
My daughter had her babies clothes & food packed as she sat on the floor waiting for the storm to pass.She said it was very frightening.Luckily no damage done to her place.I was a bit worried when I couldnt get her on the phone,but all good now.

I have a pile of ironing which I havent touched for 6 mths.May as well throw the clothes away as we dont wear them,or need them anyway.

There you are! Glad you daughter is OK. We had a tornado sixty miles east, but only rain and wind here.

Thats good.They reakon Qld is in for a busy cyclone season this year.

I haven't even thought of ironing for years. And I use my dryer all the time. Sasquach sized carbon footprint here.

We're having an early winter. I'd rather that than cyclones.
