Did not think that was going to happen! My posts are taking minutes to go through... But my empty friends box probably explains it.

Evening ladies.
Had about 2 inches of rain overnight here but you would not know it.
Only that the garden is growing very fast.
Thanks for the hot slidey thing advice so far ladies.
Susan I will see if I can find some info on the Breville you mentioned.
Love the avatar Tami. I have not checked Shosho's pics yet but I hope to shortly.

Viv, I think we should be able to start using the 'c' word down under. The overs do not start till after thanksgiving.
I have 2 fruit 'C' cakes cooking in the oven now. Actually they are for the trading table at the bowling club.

Gail you do have a pretty vivid imagination, but I think you are right, neither pens nor anything else is made like it w=once was. I remember the days before planned obsolescence.
Susan, I thought feral meant some animal with good survival instincts, as a domestic cat that escapes to the rural countryside and manages to remember all the instincts of it's ancestors who once roamed free. I do not think of feral as a bad trait in animals. But I have heard of feral reffering to rowdy children before.

I'm afraid I have some bad news for Ruby...
I took a lovely video of everyone at the table waving and saying "hello" to post on my page. We were in the thick of the party, so I never checked to see if I got it properly before switching the camera back to the picture mode.
Yes, you guessed it - it never showed up on my memory card, so I made some sort of error. I'm as sad as you are for the operator error...it was a great clip. Rob did take a video also, so hopefully when they return from their trip we can get Kathy to upload the video for us.
Sorry

I'm going to be pretty busy this week (until the weekend) - but I hope to start a continuing travel log so I can give you all some fun details of my trip and the meet - which was wonderful, by the way!
I was so excited that I was worried it would disappoint - not a chance! Can't believe I had such instant connection and feelings of love for folks I had only known a little while on-line!

Vici, read every word on every page that you missed. There will be a test on Friday. And take off that dunce hat. You're not getting out of it that easily.
Feral, as in animals, means the same thing here MizT. We use it in slang to refer to wild people too. Beddy byes for me now, and krow today!

Susan, I am trying to learn Aussie Slang. Some is so different from ours you know. Heck some of OURS is different now. Tami gave me a nice slang term other day, never heard that one before, but could not spell it if I tried.

Still by myself.
Lots of disasters around with fires and storms. The news is mostly depressing,so I dont like to watch.
My daughter had her babies clothes & food packed as she sat on the floor waiting for the storm to pass. She said it was very frightening.Luckily no damage done to her place.I was a bit worried when I couldnt get her on the phone, but all good now.

Susan with a chicken in the house, and Suzy with a horse in the kitchen... Ladies, please. We have house pets up here, but even Heidi doesn't keep the bull in the basement. (Unless she has an artificial bull in the freezer.)

Stella, it sounds like Brendan ended up having a good season. Is he a walk-on? If so, it should be scholarship talk time.

Hot, slidey thing? GE. There are no appliances other than GE. (Remember that "Hotpoint" is a dirty word.)
Cars? I had a Carolla, and it was a good car. The only thing I know about Aussie cars is what I've seen in Fii's pictures.
