Suzy on the way up to Port there is a big tree off the side of the road. It is sign posted but you have to drive in to see it. We have a photo taken about thirty years ago!

Wow June, I'll look out for it. The kids are going to be so sick of travelling by then. They'll want to stay home for the next 3 years. The trip to Mum's will take them a whole day each way (6.30am to probably 7pm), with only three days with her until they do it again, and then one day off until we drive to Port....

Maen ladies! You gals are up late chatting away. I haven't caught up on all the reading, but did pop over to Broni's for a look-see of her fashion flare. Loved your colors, Broni...and it gives me great encouragement to be BOLD!

There was a tree in Sth Aus that had a plaque saying that it used to 'house' an early settler German family. It was hollowed out at the base, about the size of a small room. Unfortunately, it lasted for hundreds of years but was destroyed during Ash Wednesday. It was huge, but I certainly wouldn't have wanted to live there with a family of five kids (I think that was what they had).

Is MzT still around with some coffee - I'm gonna need some to catch up on all the reading.

Love the count, Suzy! Did you get your picture uploaded? So excited for you re: broadband. We were on-line with DSL early on in Monterey and really close to the "hub" so we had a great experience. Then we moved to the boonies and suffered through 5 1/2 years of dial-up - arrrrgh! So hard to go back to it! Finally got DSL here and again are right next to the hub, so we are happy as pigs in sh#t now!

Suzy we once delivered sample bottles of laundry detergent! Ours was a family endeavour and the kids got the money.

LOL June! And I thought I was finally done!!!
BTW - thanks for the color wheel, MzT. And I really appreciate all the great input. I can't tell you how blessed I feel to have stumbled into SA and found you lovely friends!

Becky - So glad you are one of the lucky ones with power. We are on propane (large tank) and have a generator, too. I want to be sure we are well stocked with batteries now. We are on "city" water (no well like our neighbors) so we don't have to worry about getting water without power to work the pump.

June, a part of the reason I started this was so the kids could earn some money. But it was sooooo slow when they 'helped' deliver that I kind of backed off on that.

Hi... I'm back from having my blood drawn again. I haven't read the 2 more pages of posts, but I will. They did NOT repeat any tests, so hopefully this was to narrow down the list of suspects. Only one vial of blood was drawn today, in contrast to the 5 drawn last week. The lady taking the blood today had never seen this test, and her computer was down (giving her major headaches) so she couldn't tell me what this particular test was for. I will learn more tomorrow afternoon.

Night everyone. I won't be here much longer either. Have decided that if I get another 240 done tonight, I can finish in the morning...

Bummer Heidi! Oh well, at least it's only one more day to think about it...

Good morning all! Beautiful fall day here! Haven't caught up again, but I did check out Vici's colors for the bath. They seem like california colors, very vibrant! It would depend on what kind of mood you are trying to set while bathing in your jacuzzi. Do you want bright pic-me-up colors or soothing romantic ones. Sit in the tub and imagine it!

Max won his soccer game yesterday and scored two goals. Bryana had to pick a new advisor and her current group has to be split because her advisor got a coaching job elsewhere. The girls were all upset, but Bryana got her first pick, so I think she will be ok. Her current group is having their final lunch outing today. Meghan is busy, busy, busy. Parents weekend is this weekend, but Meghan will be busy working and editing the paper, so I'm going to see Bryana play soccer instead. Haven't heard from Brendan in a while. He hasn't gotten to play since we saw him on his anniversary. He'll have to decide what he wants to do about it.

I didn't realize how bad the windows were that are next to the roof of the garage. I guess we haven't painted them since the kids were born, and with several feet of snow up against them every winter, they needed alot of work! I'm not done yet since I only have a few hours to work during the day when it is warm enough to paint.

Now I'm going down for a nap. again. I really hope we can do something about this "sleeping sickness". (Even my Doc is calling it that now.)

Heidi - glad your doc will see you as soon as tomorrow so you can get her take on all of this. Maybe it's a good thing that they took this special blood draw - as if they have a good idea what it might be and can get you squared away. Anyway, I'm keeping you in my prayers and hoping your nap makes you feel well rested.

Stella - I was wondering about Brendan - thanks for mentioning him, but I'm sorry he still hasn't been allowed to play. Hope he can get to the bottomr of it all.
I am taking Mike to his hand surgery tomorrow. The surgery is at 10 (PDT), but we have to be there by 8 a.m. and it is an hours drive down the mountain. So we will be out of the house early tomorrow.
