Wow CJ, that girl has talent, where was she gigging at, we will have to go to her next one. You know I love that song so I'm picky with the covers but that was incredible. your phone sounds sh1t, but her voice was amazing.

Very nice comment. Hope Alie takes note of what was said. Do you think her sore throats could be a bit of stage fright, especially as it happened last year too.

She made it to the grand final. And got compliments. She has nothing to be ashamed of. Especially under the stresses of a sore throat, a fight with her BF and the pressure of a high level competition.
Tell her I'm proud of her, Suzy. Please?

I'd better get off my fat rear and get on the tractor. The hay won't stack itself, and IH is lousy at it.

ALL the hay is neatly stacked in the barns! It won't have to be touched again until it's time to feed it.Fortunately, we still have a lot of grazing left, thanks to a perfect growing season, and won't have to start feeding hay for (probably/hopefully) at least a month.

Suzy, I am sorry but I missed what competition Alie was entering. Sorry that she had a sore throat and BF problems. Her voice has matured so much and I am sure the right opportunity will fall into place for her.
My son turned 49 yesterday and today the youngest grandson turns 8. Unfortunately they are in Melbourne so I will not see them. We did suggest we went to Melbourne this weekend but my son is playing in the Masters baseball and will not be at home.
It is going to be 39*c today. My poor garden will swelter and it will probably finish the lovely pink flowering cherry blossom.

Ok, yeah.... I was walking back to the house after finishing the job.... slipped on a patch of mud.... fell .... and tore my knee open. I've got the bleeding stopped, dirt cleaned out, packed it with antibiotic ointment and bandaged. Now I'm gonna lay down and watch a movie or 2. I earned it.

Oh Suzy, so sorry Alie and Boy friend had an argument just before her performance. I do hope she makes some good contacts in the entertainment business from this contest. Oh the agony of being a teen, so glad I do not have to do that again!

HEIDI, something for you to remember here. MUD IS SLIPPERY! It should be avoided if possible. Not yelling, caps for emphasis Do be careful, friend, and hopes and wishes the knee heals quickly. I imagine it is not possible for you to sell any of the extra hay. With growing season being so good, will others in your area will also have an abundance?

JUNE, what a shame you and hubby cannot visit son and grandson to help celebrate birthdays. Your poor garden in that heat, but also poor you. Stay in, stay hydrated, stay cool as you can. 102 F is some heat wave for so early in the spring. Do you have water restrictions or can you water garden to help plants survive the heat?

Sorry, forgot what was back a page, Sometimers disease. Sometimes I remember, sometimes I forget

I think it is time for bed here. I was tired after Lakeshore, but was able to have a good rest.

Did I tell you, Joy came with microwave last night, and right out of the box, it malfunctioned. The keypad did not light up, none of the buttons did anything, and the carousel was going round and round as long as it was plugged into outlet. She will try again tomorrow, buying another, bringing to me on Friday and then returning the malfunctioning one for a refund. I do hate that she is having to do this again.

OH, we are having a gumbo lunch Friday, and someone bought my ticket for me. Could have done that, had panned on buying mine and Joy's both. for first time ever, family is invited to come, IF they pay an increased price for dinner. Or maybe we get a discounted price? there will also be music, the group we went out one night to hear will come play for us while we dine. It is lunch time, and Joy is taking a extra long lunch hour from work to come. Would invite my sister, but I know she does not eat seafood.

Hugs to each of you, with extras, and good night topsiders.

I watched a fun movie. It's actually designed for teens, but the star (in my opinion) is a Gypsy Vanner named Odd Job Bob. The movie is: The Greening Of Whitney Brown. The horse stole the movie. Now off to bed. The knee is throbbing a bit.

BTW.... MizT.... what's your shoe size? I think I might even have a cool pair of pirate boots that might fit you, from what I remember about the size of your feet. And, while I'm thinking out loud.... I might just deliver all the costume stuff to you, personally. I'd like to visit with you for a day or two without it being a sad occasion, and see your new place. You're only 4 hours from me, and it's another chance to use my RV. Does that sound like it might work?

Hi, Everyone!

Suzy, I'm sure Alie was MUCH better than she thinks! Some very nice compliments! Congratulations to her for her accomplishments!

June, so sorry you and Ken weren't able to celebrate your son's and grandson's birthdays. I hope they both had a very Happy Birthday!

Heidi, I hope your knee is feeling better - and hope the fall didn't throw out your back! Take care of yourself and get the rest you need and deserve! Congrats on getting all of the hay stacked and under roof!

MizT, how awful the the new microwave didn't work, making double work and trips for Joy! I hope the next one will be a keeper! I also hope you will both enjoy the gumbo lunch with musical entrainment on Friday!

I am fading fast, so off to bed! Sending positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, and {{{{HUGS}}}} for all of you!

About 6 months ago I had a few issues and saw the Dr. I had a few tests, including an ultrasound. The Dr. was not overly concerned and it was left to see how it went. Yesterday I saw the Dr. and asked to see a specialist. When I rang and said the symptoms she was concerned. Saw the specialist today and will be in hospital for the day tomorrow. She was very concerned that the problem had been left for 6 months!
Nothing to eat or drink after midnight!
The silly thing is I feel fitter than I have for several years!
MizT, I was able to water the garden with the hose but I do have a fair amount of garden.

Heidi, I would love a visit from you. We could have so much fun! We would need to work out where you could park the RV, but I will see what can be done near. I can always come get you if you cannot park here. What would you prefer for parking the RV?

OH, there is a very nice state park nearby. We might visit here part time, then spend a night or two there together in the RV? Would that work for you? Oak Mountain State Park. Let me find a link.

OK. the website is not opening today, but they are the largest state park in Alabama, with lots to offer. I found a phone number, and a facebook page. Only 20 miles from me, a huge wilderness in an urban area. A lake, lots to just drive through and see. They are open, not affected by the government shut down, they get no federal funds.

OR we can find you a spot closer to park and just visit here, do a bit of local sight seeing if you are into that.

My shoe size is an 8.

OK, I am back to bed. It is too early to stay up. I will get back to read all the comments later.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Wishing you good news, June. And good luck.

** RANT WARNING **
Too many doctors who shouldn't be in practice tell people that they shouldn't worry, they'll just keep an eye on it. That's a recipe for disaster! It's always MUCH easier to treat something when it starts than once it starts ravaging the body. I think the system doesn't select for caring and common sense in awarding medical degrees. And the insurance companies are now running medical practices. It's the money, not the patient, that's now important. Progress is rarely good, in my opinion.

MizT.... All I need are 2 car lengths to park the RV. I don't need a plug-in. The generator can run for a long time on almost no gas.
The State park idea sounds delightful!
The pirate boots will fit you, too!!!
Let me know your schedule. I have a dental appointment on the 18th, other than that, I'm free. We can get together before or after that. After the 18th would give me more flexibility.

Heidi and MizT, I am happy for you both, hope you have a wonderful time together.
Mama, stop swearing!
Julie, saw a orchestra flash mob on the other site and thought of you.
Confirmed that I am heading down to Phillip Island GP on Tuesday, at least two days driving either way. Unfortunately will have no time to catch up with the Melbournites or my brother while there.
Still need to finish off my friend's books for the first quarter tax so outa here.
Love and Hugs to you all.

Good Evening, Friends! This will be brief, as we need to be up and out early in the morning.

June, I'll be sending positive thoughts and prayers in your direction for tomorrow! I hope nothing to worry about is found!

Heidi and MIzT, I'm so excited for you! What fun you'll both have! Heidi, the RV is definitely proving to have been an excellent purchase!

Broni, enjoy your short time away! You have certainly kept yourself busy! Thanks for thinking of me when seeing the orchestra flash mob. Hopefully one day I will be able to play in a small community orchestra.

Mama, you are keeping yourself busy (and making me feel a bit guilty for not ironing). We all must set priorities, I guess.

It's good to see you, Rolanda! I hope all is well with you and your family! Have the warm temperatures been a problem for your young landscaping?

Hi, Brenda! Do you have plans to do more with with the cabin during your summer - or waiting until cooler temperatures?

Hello to all who read and don't have time to post! We miss you!

Sending lots of {{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers and for everyone!

Home again and OK. I have been sleeping quite a bit. Guess that is from the anaesthetic. They removed a polyp and I also had thickening of the endometrium which was what concerned the specialist. I did have pap smear etc done 6 months ago and they were all clear and I expect everything is the same.

Heidi and MizT, you will have a wonderful time catching up. What fun.
Mamacita, sorry so many things were closed when you were in Washington. Those memorials are really worth seeing. We were there just after Sept 11 and they were all open, including the Smithsonian, so we were able to see them with not a lot of other people about. We actually visited them both in the daylight and at night.

Heidi, I phoned the state park, they gave me a rate for the night. Availability for weekends is harder to get short notice than the weekdays and a very slight reduction in rates weekdays.

They only allow RV's on campsites with water and electricity, but say they do have some that are lake view. It has been a LONG time since I was there. there was a lot of damage to the park when they had hundreds of FEMA camper trailers parked there with Katrina refugees. Too many people packed into too small space (both density of trailers per area and number of refugees per trailer) for far too long.

As for parking anywhere near here, even to come up for a visit to apartemnt and our facilities, I will have to get out and look. There are none here at our parking areas for guests, parking on the street nearby is also almost never available to find 2 parking spaces together. Very dense urban area, lots of apartments and multi family residences. I think I remember some vacant land near, under freeway that is used by some as parking. I will ride down that way soon to see if that might be a possibility. Close enough I can ride my power chair I think. If you must park further away to find a space, I can always come get you.

does your cell phone receive photo Texts? I could send you some photos of the area, so it looks familiar when you arrive.

After the 18th sounds good to me. I have no Dr appointments scheduled rest of the month from that date.

When we decide a date, and how many nights, I will arrange for our camp site. I think we can wait to closer to time to reserve, and take a look at weather forecast to pick thier best guess for weather

I am so excited, this will be so fun! Thank you for thinking of it.

Now I must get ready for our Gumbo Lunch with Entertainment. A soft jazz group will play for us while we eat. Shannon, our social worker asked me to invite Earnest, my next dor neighbor who has not attended any of the things available, to come, and he has accepted! I have a 'date' hehehe. I will go get him and go down with him, so it is not so difficult for him. He seems very shy. Joy is also attending.

Hugs to each of you, with extras

OOOPS, just read the rest of the posts. Yes, the 18th to 21 time frame is good for me. That being weekend, I will have to check for availability of space. LOTS of people visiting as if we have any fall color, it will be October. This beautiful weather is bringing out campers for one last weekend.

Suzy? Details when you can. when, name, etc. Are you torn between thrilled and concerned? Hugs to you, Mom and baby.
