OK.... My truck is on the way to the shop to be fixed. In a few days it should be fixed, then I'm tearing down to MizT's as soon as her schedule allows. I need to return some of her things, and deliver the lamb (I've added lamb burger to the collection of lamb chops) and the new sheet sets (6 pieces!).

Hi everyone.
As you can tell, I am back at work and been so busy.
With 3 places to work on, we have been spread thin but not complaining. Paul is back home in the ex flooded place, all beneficiaries have their money and there is still lots to do at all the places. Even our own place needs some TLC, but we cannot do 12 hr days, 7 days a week.
I have been reading. All the best for getting better after illness, upcoming ops, storm safety,
etc.
Thinking of you all with affection. You are a great, thoughtful and caring bunch of beautiful
people.
Hugs and kiss's Broni.

Greetings from me to all of you!

Broni, seems you've had more to deal with than any of us suspected. Hang in there; it will get better.

Back when I had my knee replacement surgery, Tami had a phone number for me (either our home number or my hubby's cell). I don't think we have a phone number for her. I guess maybe it would be a good idea to have someone else with a contact number, as well.

MIzT, I hope the November birthday party was fun and had good entertainment! Did you wear your new top with some sparkles? I've been thinking maybe I should get a sparkly top for Christmas.

Heidi, I understand what you're saying about abbreviations. When I first saw LOL (quite a few years ago), I thought it stood for 'lots of love.'

I like your TOPP, Heidi! I hope your truck is fixed quickly and well, so you can make another visit to MIzT soon!

Nola, I don't know how you can fit working on 3 places around a full work schedule. You must be exhausted. Remember to take care of you! {{{HUGS}}}

Mama, thinking of you and your count-down to Thursday! Praying that your doctor, nurses, technicians, etc. are all on the top of their game and surgery is a complete success!

It's time for me to head to bed. May you all be blessed with wonderful days and restful nights, positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and ! Good Night!

I had a lovely day. Cruising around Sydney Harbour with people Ken and I worked with up to 50 years ago. Perfect weather. The water sparkled in the sunshine.
Mamacita, thinking of you facing the surgery tomorrow. Our Prayers that everything goes well and you are soon back here posting.

Morning friends, it is a sunny cool day today. I must be off to have eyes examed today, going on the bus, so I have to be ready early. Leave at 9:40 for a 10:30 appointment that is only 15 minutes away. It is worth it not to have to drive, hunt parking, and then walk to office.

I missed the birthday party, so I will save the sparkle top for our thanksgiving dinner here. I needed groceries, thought I could make an early grocery run, and still do the 2 pm party. Body said NO, groceries were enough, even though I was back from shopping by 11.

More later, must get presentable now. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Julie.... I have Tami's phone number.

Good luck with the eye doc, MizT. I need to go one of these days, since my right eye is getting funky. Once the lights dim, the right eye blacks out. It's really weird. Fortunately, it never happens when I'm driving at night. Only at home.

Tomorrow is the big day, Mama!!! I've got my fingers crossed that your surgical team all have an inspired day. You deserve it.

MizT... I got you 2 sets of ecru-ish sheets, if you want them both. 1800 count thread egyptian cotton, full sized. I flat sheet, one fitted sheet and 4 pillowcases in each set.

Hi all. sorry I have been MIA but it has been busy.

Julie, I still have your number (or Roger's) unless it has changed. I also have Tricia's number and Heidi's number. I even have the number for Mamacita's daughter and have spoken to her several times. I have the number for Jane from St. Simons Island and Nal from Miami. I feel like a phone book.

this site never ceasesto amaze me - the friendship and contact between everyone is really lovely. Perfect weath June - lucky it wasn't earlier when Sydney had so much rain. A friend of ours flies a helicopter to and from work and he took hubby and I for a scenic tour of Sydney Harbour - it was magic!! Our friend is 79 and an incredible pilot and businessman - he leaves me for dead! Thinking of you Broni - you can only do what is possible and realistic - the rest they have to sort out themselves. Don't run yourself into the ground worrying about others - some people have to learn the hard way. Nola glad you are finally able to take it a bit easier - housework can wait - people can't - take care. Good luck for today Mamacita. Suzy - how are your little grandies going now?

Off to bed early. Tomorrow morning we move the scale & chute back into place in the barn. That means my tractor and I doing all the work, and IH & George directing. IH will think he's in charge, but George is the one with the common sense. I'll follow his directions.

Thinking of Mamacita. She's probably in hospital already doing all the pre-op stuff... If vibes help, she's getting a tonne of them sent her way...

June, your cruise sounds wonderful! Sydney harbour is beautiful and cruising with old friends would make it extra special.

Heidi, I'm glad you had a safe and enjoyable trip!

Midge, you amaze me! So positive! Your helicopter tour sounds incredible! So many things you would see that we miss from ground level.

Broni, thinking of you and hope at least one thing got ticked off your list today.

oops, just found this sitting here, I'd better post it before I lose it.

Nola, hope work is going well - both jobs! A friend of mine recently started working in a doctor's surgery (after doing some more study). Several years ago she quit nursing because she was making twice as much performing. I'm not sure why she has gone back to it. Maybe the reliable paycheck? Now she works part time at the doctors and part time performing. Her singing partner's father told us that she (the partner) was making $1000 a week. I know she does some solo nights though. She is not as outgoing as my friend and I think the solo nights would be hard work for her.

June, Gail, Nola and Rolanda (at a minimum) have my phone number(s). The home phone number is unreliable because half the time it's off the charger and we don't know even it rang.

WARNING; TMI - not for the faint hearted...

The last few days have been smelly around here! I mentioned (I think) that Dana ended up staying when it turned out she had a stomach bug. Well I kind of had it on Monday and so did hubby. Tuesday I went out and did the shopping but didn't feel great. Tuesday night I got it full on and so didn't get to work Wednesday or today. I'm still a bit queasy and churny, but on the mend.

Poor Alie. I think I've mentioned to you that she tends to get constipated. Before the bug hit she had gone 4 days without 'going'. She took a couple of the pills the doc had given her for when she is severely constipated, without reading the instructions that said one at night and one in the morning. Nothing happened. Then she got the bug and was throwing up - but still constipated!! Who gets a tummy bug and stays constipated??!!!

I like your MOPP, Suzy!

Thanksgiving is one week from today. I still need to get my ingredients. I don't have to worry about a veggie dish. Don and barb are bringing that. I get to concentrate on my favorites.... turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry relish and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. I've never developed a taste for yams, particularly candied yams, so never include those.

We finally got the chute and scales unloaded from my trailer, and back in position in the working barn. It has a low ceiling, and the tractor can only squeeze in if it's carrying a heavy weight to pull it down. The chute alone won't do it, even though it weighs well over a ton, because once I get it in position and release it, the tractor would be wedged in there. So I also had to carry a 1600 lb. hay roll on the back of the tractor for weight and counterweight. It was a delicate operation since we didn't want to damage the just repaired cattle scales, but we did it. Primarily myself on the tractor, George and Jason, IH's employee. IH spent most of the time on the phone, as usual.

Morning all,
Suzy, I had that bug last week, was not nice and I didn't go out, or if I did I was quick about it. Oh so yukky! Hope you all feel better soon.
I have the phone numbers of many of the Aussie Sudoku girls - I have yours too Suzy. (And Rolanda, Broni, Vicki, Gail, Nola, Viv an many more).
Wow Heidi - I always think that the candied yams would be the best part (not being a turkey lover).

Ah well, my car is officially broken down. It had been playing up since Sunday night but when I got in it to drive home yesterday, all the warning lights came on, in amber, not red - but I wasn't going to try to get it home. I got the bus home, which was fun for someone who never uses public transport. Col limped the car home later in the day. The mechanic, a friend and neighbour, came and ran the diagnostics - yep, a hybrid cell needs replacing - 2 months before the warranty runs out - what a win! He'll be talking to Toyota today and will let me know what next. It will have to be towed wherever it goes. Only the second time I've ever had to get a car towed in my over 25 year membership of RACQ (auto club). No car for me for a while - depends on whether the parts are readily available or need to be sent up from Melbourne or freighted in from Japan.

Thinking of Mama today, hope all is well.

Heidi, blue is fine for the sheets, but if you need those for the RV, I would understand. I do like the idea of 4 pillowcases, that is just how many pillows I keep on my bed . Only use 3 of them at a time though.

We had elections of officers for the Resident's Association. About 3 times the usual number of people attended. They had not printed enough ballots. there were not enough places to sit in the Commons room, about 1/4 of us were in another room just off that and could not hear a word going on until the chairperson started making announcements TWICE, once wzalking over and doing a repeat for us. We voted in a completely new slate, a clean sweep. The same 3 people have been running things here for years, I think the residents showed what they thought about that! Unfortunately, the new officers do not take office till third week in January.

I did get eyes examined yesterday, no major changes except I am now developing cataracts. Doc said everyone would get them if they lived long enough. Mine are just barely bad enough I could have surgery now, but no real need at this time, I chose to wait and see.

HI Julie, bye Julie hehehe.

So Suzy will be working instead of getting ready for Christmas. Strange how that works, you either have time but no money, or money but no time. I have not had the first Christmas thought in my head, and if I do not get this pain under control, might opt out this year.

Cyn, I am glad you will get car repaired while under warranty. but I do feel for you with no auto until the work is done. If I was closer, you could borrow mine, it just sits most days. I might get to grocery, the one I prefer that the bus does not visit, once a week in it. Most of the time, I take our bus, so much easier. Sometimes a LOT longer time wise, like yesterday, but no hunting parking spaces and walking involved.

Ohhh, I bought me the softest, warmest slip over polar tec shirt yesterday. It is red with sparkly snow falkes around neckline, but I got it for a sleep/lounge shirt for when I am hurting. It is bery warm and so soft and light weight, does not bother shoulders when they hurt. I think it was a wise investment.

I am off to bed early, still hurting and so damned tired of it. Hoping tomorrow will be a better day. Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

Hello, Friendly Sudokuaholics!

Another late night to be followed by an early morning, so I have only glanced at the page. Tami (the telephone book), I would gladly get some of those phone numbers from you for those occasions when I should let someone know that all is well. Trouble is, I can't remember how to send a personal message and don't see it on the page while glancing quickly.

MizT, I love anything blue.
Have contact numbers for a lot of our friends, but think I lost some when my phone went for a swim.
Cyn, hope you get your car sorted. My dog wash guy thinks my Nissan may be on a recall notice for a faulty accelerator that accelerates all by itself, must phone them.
Mama, you are in my thoughts, wishing you a speedy recovery.
On another note, my dog wash guy came to wash Bella the day of the funeral. When we got home that afternoon there was the most beautiful bunch of flowers sitting on the table on the side deck, he came back to drop them off before we got hom and I didn't even have enough cash on me that day to pay him for his job. Really gives you faith in human nature.
Things are going slowly with finalising Maz's affairs but I have come to terms with that. Have sent all the doc's to the one in H.M.P. just hope he can get them back in a reasonable time.
Love and Hugs to you all.
