difficult puzzles

OK I have been doing Sudoku puzzles for 2-3 years.  I have progressed to the point where I can do the puzzles at the hard level, I can use and utilize x-wings and swordfish but am unable to solve the puzzles listed as difficult on this site.   Also, I can solve the NY times 3 star puzzles but not the 4 star ones. I also can spot triads and occasionally quads but can't get past the point where I am.   Can anyone help me.                 george

Hi George!
I have a sudoku blog that starts with some techniques that you already know. It progresses towards more difficult sudokus. A number of sudoku's that are listed as tough are solved from beginning to end. I suggest that if you visit the blog to begin towards the earlier pages.
To gain access, merely click on the link in the upper right hand column "check out the sudoku blog", under which is the link to the latest page. Currently, "Easy proof of tough sudoku march 31, 2008" From there you can choose the page which perhaps suits you at your present level.

If that does not help, let me know and I can suggest some good sudoku forums and other sites.
