Hey Ruby, you had me worried there! Don't worry another cruise is coming up, so you can be first on the list. Moored in Aquatic Paradise which is a man made canal estate. I am lucky I have friends there that have a canal property.

I'm sorry, Ruby! I was just so afraid that there was even MORE on you plate, as if that's not enough! Did I read correctly that you would like to try to get a puppy? Is there a nearby rescue organization or shelter where you can volunteer until you get a puppy or dog of your own?

When I was young, I figured that by now we'd be living like the Jetsons. Now I want to know why we aren't talking to each other like the little boy and his dad on the Oreo commercial.

I don't want another pup just yet, but I do want to investigate Tibetan Spaniels. I hear Oz is full of them.

Gosh, I'm not familiar with the Oreo commercial. Guess I need to watch for it.

The roofs (sp) in Oz are a trip. I've never seen a house with a purple or blue roof. As people here use more and morecoated steel I suppose it's just a matter of time.

The little boy and his dad talk on the computers -- they see each other -- half-way around the world.

We can do that on Instant Messenger now Ruby.

It would be nice to sit and eat TimTams with you all and see you on my screen. Oh, well.

I got the MasterBlaster virus (a bad one) through instant messenger so I have shut that down. You can SEE AND TALK to the person at the same time?

yes on webcam, no naps for me i am working supposedly

RUBY, yes, it is possible to talk just as the boy and his dad talk, real time, see each other on the screen, all the way around the world. It is also possible to do video conferencing, where each erson can see more than one other person on a split screen. One of the computer companies has a commercial about that, the little girl talking to her " staff" from home, about her ideas for jellybean cookies. yep, can do that one aslo, when everything is working properly

Hi all, I've had a nice day. Lunch with ex work mates then got my hair done. Sausages and mashed potato/pumpkin for dinner.

Ruby my little pentax digital camera comes with instructions on how to set it up to the computer for video conferencing.

Hi all, our new laptop has a webcam built into the top of the screen... I haven't used it yet, but hubby has played with it. Thinking of using it to tape the girls to email to family in the states (who don't have a webcam)

Convince them to invest in a webcam and then you can 'talk direct' and they will enjoy it so much more.
We have not got one.

Just had to dob in one of d1s friends. Had to? She was talking big about going to a drinking party at the beach this Sat, and getting around Mum not letting her go by saying she was going to stay at a friend's house. She's 14 and this party is apparently posted on myspace with an open invitation... Thought and thunked and thought and decided I would never forgive myself if she went and something happened to her.

Hope her Mother handles the situation properly and does not dod you in. You did the right thing

Ruby, I like looking at stuff through Google Earth too. Hubby has marked all of our old addresses and favourite landmarks. If you look up Enders Elementary School in Garden Grove, we used to live over their back fence...
