Hi...Just read all of the recent post and you ladies have made me tired with all that you have to do. Not the greatest day that I've had...my son called earlier to tell me that his MIL had died yesterday. It was a shock. She was far too young and vital, but then again...she had lived a good life and enjoyed it without illness...so, while others are in shock because we didn't expect it(she was younger than I by at least 7/10 years), I think it may not be a bad way to leave here...something we all will do ...but thankfully, we don't know when...so enjoy life now...forget the sucky thing and all of the other stuff as much as possible....life is short! Peace.

Suzy, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings with my fence remark. The little pun just came to me as I typed so I typed it. I always have been a smart-mouth. I'll be in the naughty corner if you need me.

Mama, my sincerest condolences to your son and his wife on the untimely passing of their mother/MIL.
I must agree with you, I hope to go whilst still reasonably well, rather than have suffered for any length of time.
Sucky thing...what sucky thing?!

Marmacita so sorry to hear about son's MIL . I agree with you time is so short, so forget sucky thing (I let my retired hubby do it now) - I did it for 40 years - don't miss it at all. Just been reading about 20 pages of posts seeing I haven't been around for a while, must try not to leave it so long next time. Hi to everyone - I've missed you

8 to go - will I make a run for the TOPP and CP along the way. Nah, I've got zero TOPP's on SA5 so I'll try to stick with that. See if I can get none at all. Got lots on SA4.
Off to watch some telly while I wait for hubby to come home.

Hi all,
Brother and family got here from Canada safely yesterday. They have left this morning to go up north for a week and then to Wales for a further week. Finally coming back here for the last few days of their holiday.
I have to try and tidy the house up again after their one day stay here

answering questions from a few pages back.
Ruby, we have tropical fish, this new tank is an up grade from a 90lt tank my daughter has. I would love to have a marine tank with all the really brightly coloured and wonderful shaped fish, but they are supposed to take a lot of looking after (more than tropical) We still need to stock the tank a bit more but will wait a little while to get the filtration system to produce more bacteria to deal with the waste from the fish.

Ruby, Callie is doing fine now, she had a scratched cornea recently which took about a month and a few visits to the vets to sort out. She didn't like having to wear the cone to stop her rubbing and scratching at her eye. Touch wood all is better now.

Suzy, Yes the 190ltr tank is huge, funny it didn't look quite so big in the shop
fortunately we had a space big enough to fit it into the lounge.

Good morning all! Beautiful morning here but it is supposed to get hot and humid this afternoon. Getting down to the last few days of packing before Meghan leaves for Cairo. She has an 11 1/2 hour layover in Heathrow. I don't know what she'll do stuck in the airport all of those hours. Someone told her they don't accept Euros there. Brenda, do you know if this is true? Brenda, know what it's like to have to clean the house for a one-day visit and then have to do it all over again!
Mama, my condolences to your son and dil. Time always seems so short, so we must make the most of it when we can!
Lee, nice to see you back!
Ruby, sorry to hear about Rudy. I'm sure he'll be happy in the big open space.
CynB, I haven't caught up on the posts yet, but I thought someone mentioned that you sold the business. Congratulations!
Suzy, hope all goes well with your daughter and the music.
Rena, I hope you enjoyed your time alone. A little "me" time never hurts!
Suzy, Gail, Brenda, Elise, June, CynB, Ruby, Lee, Mama, MizT, Rolanda, Becky, Julie, Broni, Cyndi, Rena, Bean, bexta, Mary, Mary, vdV and anyone else I might have missed, hope you have a great day/night!

Stella, you are sounding much more relaxed !!
make sure Meghan has a good book to read, and/or a large sudoku book to fill out.
It's Meghan's problem on how to keep herself occupied for 11+ hours..not yours Stella !!

Morning all!
I slept late this morning - it was you guys keeping me awake in the chatroom last night...
Stella - I had a 6 hours layover at Heathrow in 1988 and actually enjoyed exchanging a few dollars in currency and wandering around. It's all a part of the adventure!
