This is to answer your enquiry about meeting QE2.
I was not joking. I met the Queen that day (I think it was 20th April 1972 (+/- 1-year). Anyway it was when she opened the James Cook University in Queensland where I was a research student at the time. I was elected as a postgraduate representative to attend a private gathering to meet her, along with Prince Phillip and Princess Anne. I found extremely lively and quick-witted; a thorouhly nice person.

Dear sweet Plum, thank you so much for your concern. To put your mind at easy. Everything is just fine here. My room is clean because it is the only room in my house that I can clean. I do generally, keep posts up for a month, but most of them were from Jill when we were have email problems. We both have decided to minimize what we say in here, because we have a tendency to talk about our babies. We want Sudokuland to have fun with the guessing in June. As for the lack of posts, I miss it, but we are having beautiful days here, so outside time is a must. I feel a little guilty about cutting my time short with the girl, because of my feet problem. So in the mornings, when I have normal feet I try to play with her as much as possible because evenings movement is next to non-existent. Oh this is a funny statement to me. I am also, seem to be sleeping more. That is funny because there is no way to sleep! Even in the recliner. I have so many pillows piled up on the bed that hubby says he cannot find me to give goodbye kisses. Only a few more weeks to go and then normalcy should follow, hopefully, quickly. Thanks again for your concern. Take care yourself.

Plum, What is your receipe for scones? I'm careful about my carbohydrate intake because I'm prediabetic, so I "save" my carbs for something special and scones sure are special.

I stopped in to thank you for your wishes and prayers -- when I went to check on something and didn't send my message - came back and it was gone -- puff, right in thin air LOL. Always learning on the computer - anyway, I did find my papers - right there I thought they should be - my house is an organized mess, but slowly, or so slowly I am working on decluttering my life and home. I need 20 hourse of continuing education hours for my license which is due this Sept. I found my proof of hours, so I'm free to relax for another 2 years - take the courses I really want to go too. I was also excited to find out the name of the blue bird that I saw for the first time on my hike a week or two back -- watching TV, I saw a ad for bird feed and there was my Indigo Bunting -- take care and enjoy your night -- Mary
