Angi had us over for dinner last night. That was a nice treat. She made Lasagna. It was delicious! She lives about 26 miles from us.

Good morning Vici. I can relate to the renovation thing. We pulled down walls and completely changed half of our place a few years ago. It was major work but we have been so happy with the results. At the moment we are redecorating the other half of the house. Removed all the carpet and had floor boards installed, painted and various other bits and pieces. It is nearly finished... just need some new blinds and a rug or two and there is a bit more painting to be done but it has been so cold here (mid winter at the moment) that it is not good for painting. Good luck with all the work.

Vici - Thanks for your very kind message on my page. I think some members thought I came off as whining, which wasn't my intent in the comment. I appreciate your understanding where I'm coming from. I've been playing on this Sudoku site for over 3 years, although I've only been a registered member for about a year. I've seen all kinds of trends in the comments -- and try really hard not to get my feelings hurt by comments (or lack thereof). There are some really wonderful, friendly people who frequent this site.

Haven't been home for over a week. My husband's 100 year old mother broke her hip last week and we're trying to deal with that. We are the only family she has, so the decision making feels like a lot of responsibility. She's been living on her own and wants to go back home, but she really needs to be in a nursing facility. We need to decide whether to leave her down here (San Luis Obispo area)where she has friends, or move her up near us where we can visit frequently, as can our kids and grandkids. Wish us luck!

I hope you will visit the forum and Discussion page again as it is a lot of fun, sometimes serious, sometimes completely 'off it's trolley' and you would enjoy it. Hi Vici! See you've added lots more photos since my last visit. Looks like you had a good time at your brother's. I saw your note on appy's page about the forum & discussion page. Like you I went there to see the cat poem a la Hamlet & was very impressed by it. I enjoy reading the comments & creations of all the "witty" people, but I'm not one of those myself, so I don't even attempt to be creative or controversial. I usually stick more to facts than opinions & try to AVOID controversy whenever possible!

Hello there friend....... I hope you are having a good day. It is beautiful here today. A gentle breeze about 84 deg and the sun is shining!!!! It just doesn't get any better than this.

We spent the morning grocery shopping. I cleaned my big freezer last week. I had let the groceries get down so there would be as much to keep cool. Now it is time to stock up for winter! We are getting zucchini, green beans and soon corn! We have a lot of green tomatoes! Very few have ripened yet??? September is just around the corner.....

Vici, the reason you couldn't see the Chrissy photo with Gath in it is because it was submitted in the 'lost' month. When the site went down early this year, Gath did his utmost to retrieve all smilies, avatars and photos, but unfortunately, those submitted at the very end of last year are lost in cyber space!
The reason I haven't taken that down or replaced it, is that I didn't want to lose all those comments. Will pull my digit out and contact Gath about transferring comments onto a newly submitted photo.

BTW If you would like to see it, I am more than happy to send it to you via email. If yes, give me an email addy via private messages.

hello vici, thanks for the msg..well reached home safely, but the flight from Paris to chennai was crappy, tedious and tiring..have a lil bit of jetlag I think for I feel sleeepy at odd times and wake up at still odder time..otherthan that all fine:)

Just a quick answer to your question about the King Parrots, no, I don't think they migrate, they seem to be here at various times of the day. I have recently begun to hand feed them. My daughter and I stand out on the verandah with seed in our hands and they fly down onto our arms and feed straight our of our hands. Brilliant.

Hello there Friend! I am just stopping in to say, "Hello!" My husband and I took a short Motorcycle Trip. We started out for an afternoon ride and ended up in Mackinac. (I packed an overnight bag "just in case!") It was fun. It has been a long time since I have been on a long ride on the bike. (I can tell I am getting older!) Have a great day!

Hi Vici, Thanks for all the comments you made about my photos. I was going to try and get some reduced and up today but my daughter was not well so ended up babysitting. I have been through and deleted a lot as some taken through the bus window, or several of the same subject. I have taken lots of the orangutans and the twin towers in KL.

Thanks so much for taking a moment to visit my page and 'meet' my family. Thanks for the kind words. My daughters are awesome young ladies. My oldest just moved back to college this weekend, she started this summer. She is about 2.5 hours away from home, so it's not too, too bad. My youngest is starting her junior year in high school. I am very lucky, we are a very close family, and both of our daughters still like spending time with their old parents. Thanks again for the visit, come back any time. Now that I have figured out this uploading pictures thing I hope to continue to add to them.

Hi again...let see, to answer yout questions: I have 2 dogs...both Weimaraners...the big male is grey and his name is Grainger. The smaller is a blue and her name is Gidget (remember the old TV series?) My kids are 16 and almost 14...yes, they are great kids. We get along really well. they are best friends. Hope all is wellfor you! i have some new pics to pst...so i'll be posting those now.

Thanks Vici for the birthday wishes & hospital thoughts for my Dad! He still hasn't been to theatre yet! The Cardiac Surgeon has decided that since Dad is in St Vincent's, where all his other Doctors are, they should all consult him & each other before he has surgery! He normally sees them in Dubbo, but not one of them is there at the same time as any other!! Anyway, so far his hospital sojourn hasn't done him any harm - he's looking better than he did when he went in!!
