Hi Ian, how rude of me not to reply sooner - sorry!

Geocaching is like a high tech treasure hunt for adults. At its most basic someone will hide a box with a log book in it somewhere in the world (normally with a reason for putting it in that particular place) then post the lat and long coordinates on the geocaching website. People will then download the details to a GPS (which can be a smartphone, but is normally a dedicated device) and search for it. Often they are hidden in bushland both to allow the searchers to get exercise and also to minimise the chance of someone just stumbling across it and destroying it.

There's a lot more to it than that but you can see why I call it an adult treasure hunt - my wife and I enjoy it mainly for the exercise.

Hope you both have a wonderful trip.
What an adventure.. one I've been longing to do all my life.
It is probably time I stopped wishing and started doing. Hopefully Lachie will be at home more next year and enable me to get away more.. my beautiful big housemates (2 x German shepherd x maremma's) do make it difficult for me to get away.

Hello Ian - thank you for your comment on my photos. It wasn't easy taking a lot of them. I had to zoom in a lot because our vehicle couldn't leave the track and some weren't all that close. Sometimes someone sitting next to you or in front got in the way or moved as you were about to click the camera, which didn't help, but I took a lot and have two albums of photos printed out.
