Thasks Anne, it is nice to be welcomed on board. I'm still trying to master the intricacies of the site like getting photos attached.
By the way I love Albany and all that south west corner of WA.
A friend and I first climbed the Pemberton tree about sixty years ago. It seemed to have grown a lot higher when I climbed it a few years ago.

Hello Wombat - I saw the tree you are referring to in Pemberton many years ago but didn't get a chance to climb it.
When you set up your Photo Gallery, it's a good idea to make your photos a reasonable size so that they're not too large. Check out my page and Photo Gallery to get an idea.
I also love the Albany area and all the beautiful beaches around here. I've shown a few Sudoku visitors around Albany and some of the lovely beaches.

Hi Kathy, thank you for your welcoming message. I can well recall driving from Boston, through Maryland to California on our way home from England. We were able to see a number of historic sites (and beautiful Sights) but unfortunately there was a budget argument going on and most monuments were closed because of problems paying the workers.

Thanks Chris, It's good to be welcomed on board. We love Canberra and are part of the large group who moved here in 1973 - in Fact we moved here just as Gough Whitlam became prime minister.

I was pleased and surprised to receive your message telling me about the wombat. These are very strong animals, as they can break a bumper on a car!Too bad they die afterwards, though.
I don't remember comparing them to a marmot, but I guess I must have somewhere along the way.
