Hi Judy, getting there with the marathon preparation. Unfortuately I was a bit silly and ran an 83km ultra marathon the weekend before last and have a bruised right heel as a result - I need to rest it over the next few days so that's an unwelcome interruption but I should still be ready in 8 weeks. I'm definitely in a better position than this time last year so I'm not compaining.

SO ... Thank you for the birthday wishes, they were much appreciated! I had a very quiet day (Rob was interstate till late), but we all went out to a delicious dinner on the weekend and I got lots of lovely presents ... and didn't have to do dishes ... what could be nicer? :D

Judy, thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me last week, I had so much fun reading all the posts. You flatter me, hardly a great ambassadress, but I do love Australia and we love having our international Sudoku family members come and stay.
My day ended with the family going out to dinner that night, then the next day we had yet another party for my youngest daughter's 16th. I then had the pleasure of a lunch on Sunday with some of our Sudoku family who spoiled me wonderfully.
It doesn't get much better than that!

Thanks for putting me right on the hair cuts. I know what you mean about the older men shaving their heads now as my SIL is one of them. As soon as daughter & grandson left NZ to come back here (he was to follow) he started growing a goatie and shaved his head. When she went to the Perth airport about six weeks later to meet him she didn't recognise him and walked right past him. It actually made him look younger.

Hi Judy,
Many thanks for your birthday wishes, we had a fantastic day. We also celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary and Robert's birthday. We left Chicago and stayed just out of Toledo. We had a beautiful dinner and walked along the main street doing nothing in particular. One of the best so far! We're currently on our way to New York city, then over to spend time with Vici, then Keith and Lynne, then back down to LA, then home. Hopefully one day, we'll time it right so that we get to meet you!

Judy, Thanks for the compliment. The camera I have used is not a real great one. I have had it for about 6 years. It is a Minolta Dimage Z2, 4.0 mega pixel. It takes very good close ups, but not so good for distance. Harry bought me a good camera last year for my bday. So far I am still learning to use it. I will still use my little Minolta for close ups as the pictures are easier to size for Sudoku.

Hey Judy - are you still running the triathalon or did you get lost? Haven't seen you around lately. My lady in waiting has disappeared and left me waiting.

Thanks for the b'day wishes. I had a wonderful day with my family, followed by a wonderful evening with my Sudoku family.
This is my last year in my 50's, so I guess that next year I have to grow up!!! Maybe I'll just start counting backwards.
