Thank u for the lovely wine from California! I am indeed from Pretoria. It is a beautiful city with lots of Jakaranda trees. I lived here as a student some years ago and only moved here again 18 months ago. Was priviledged to have stayed in Zambia for 4 years before coming back to South Africa and Pretoria. My daughter, Tiffany, 16, came to boarding school for a year before we came back to SA. I choose to move here so that she could stay in the same school and be a day scholar living at home. Hope you will be able to come to SA and experience our hospitality and beautiful country! Take care

Linda, my wife's name is Linda also. We were up in your area on our motorcycle around the first of June. I think you were in Africa. I had no way to contact you anyway. We took a little ride up around you and had lunch in Sutter Creek. We may be up there around 3rd week of March. I will yell if we do. Have a great trip to OZ and hope you will be able to see some SA'ers down under.

Hi Linda, when you read this you will be back home with all your wonderful memories. Hope the rest of your trip was all that you expected.
Will leave you a bottle of Australian wine (Margaret River?) and some Sydney Rock Oysters for you to sit on your deck and enjoy and reminise about Sydney.

A very comfie corner for photo album perusing. Your one lane train/auto bridge brought me up short. I'm sure it's the same one I had to stop at and photograph. It gives new meaning to the term "Give Way".

YouTube is easy to set up. Open your "Update Details" page and scroll down to the YouTube section. It has a brief instruction that is easy to follow. Next, go find that special clip you want to share with the world and load it up. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Update Details" or nothing will happen.

Hi Linda - I enjoyed your visit. Yes, the wedding pictures are of my oldest daughter, Angelina. She likes to be called Angi. It was a very exciting time. She just celebrated her 5th anniversary! I am proud of both her and her husband and I am anxiously waiting for the day they tell me I will be a grandma! Please come back anytime!

Hi Linda - It looks like you have had some exciting adventures. It's still warm here in Ohio, but our Fall Season is gathering steam. We a currently in the middle of Apple Season, so I offer some warm apple crisp from fresh picked apples. I highly recommend a dollup of ice cream on the side.

Linda...great pictures of your Qz visit. Your hotel certainly was well located...such great shots while in the comfort of your balcony. Do you and hubby travel every year to celebrate your hubby's birthday, or just travel and his birthday just serendipitously happens around the same time? Whatever, hope you continue to enjoy. Thanks for sharing.

G'day Linda, I saw your note in Easy about your picture gallery so just dropped in for a squiz! What wonderful photos they are. It's hard to know which ones I like best but your safari shots take some beating. The Masai women are wonderful too. All in all it's a fascinating picture gallery and I'll certainly come back to it now and again. Glad you made it to Australia too, which is such a long way off the beaten track. Your Opera House shot is calendar-worthy. Well done and many thanks. Tree Sheila (Kate)

Hi Linda! I enjoyed looking through all your travel photos. The Australia & NZ ones brought back many great memories of the trip Rob & I took there in Mar.-Apr., 2005. Looks like our itineraries were very similar. How long were you over there? Glad you made it to Tasmania; many tourists don't get to see it & it is SO special. Africa is on our wish list for 2009. Do you have any suggestions for us?? Did you go with a tour group? For 2008 we picked China. Where's the next place for you?

Linda, I would have no problem leaving the kids for a week or two, I just haven't had the opportunity. My kids are lucky. Both sets of grandparents live within 45 minutes by car. My older son is moving in with my in-laws for a week over winter break when he attends baseball camp near their house. This way I don't have to drive 45 min. twice a day to drop off and pick up.

You invited me to your place a long time ago, and this is the first time I've been free from my onerous shepherding responsibilities to make the trip. I had to hang all the sheep up on hooks on my wall so they wouldn't run away in my absence. Anyway; I've brought a rucksack of goodies for you: inside are some TUC biscuits and a lovely moist roquefort cheese. There is also a bottle of vintage port, and, as a special gourmet treat, some Japanese sweet chestnuts marinated in brandy. I love your travel photographs.

Hi Linda,
Have a wonderful Thanks Giving Celebration.
A
to your daughter.
I am sure you will have a great time with your family.
My back is improving but I have been doing a lot of babysitting and that is not helping my recovery.
How are you getting on with your knee? Hope it is better than when you were here. Best wishes to R.

Gday Linda, I hope you don't mind, I've just popped in here to escape the madness of reality! Can you believe how quickly time has flown? I have forbidden the use of the 'C' word until the Melbourne Sudoku get-together. Maybe then, I'll stop being Cleopatra, Queen of Denial and start getting into the festive spirit!
My head is still in a whirl with end-of-schoolyear stuff, particularly now that my D#2 has just completed her final year of high school. She has gone away to one of the many locations for the traditional week of 'schoolies'. I pity those places!
Anyhoo, enough of my babble! Thank you for hiding me for five minutes. I hope things are a little more peaceful in the build-up for you and yours.
Sending cyber hugs all around,
Gail
