Thanks for the message. Haven't heard from you since the tartan discussion!!!

Although not a vegetarian (and by no means a vegan), I try to eat mostly veggies and seafood. But my husband is a true-blue, red-blooded meat man, so I probably prepare (and eat) more meat than I should! On one of your "splurge" days, you might want to try my recipe for smoked salmon with bowtie pasta. I just put it on the Recipes page, so it's not in the cookbook yet. Although, come to think of it, it has Parmesan cheese, and I guess vegans don't eat cheese. Anyway, there are enough wonderful flavors with the garlic, fresh dill, capers and onions to compensate!

Love your pictures! Do you live near Biltmore? We used to spend lots of time in NC, but mainly on the Outer Banks.

Sandra - yes I celebrate Super/Fat Tuesday. Had a party at the house - after a couple of parties over the weekend working up to Tuesday. I'm trying to get caught up on all the chatter for the last few days, while I've been partying and getting ready to party and cleaning up and attending to church services, etc.

Sandra, I haven't noticed you around much lately so I thought I'd pop in to say gday.
