I've been checking out other pages, so missed some of you as you popped in. How are you, Becky? If your SIL hopes to go home tomorrow, she must be doing pretty well.

Her hubby is going to try and work from home because she's not to be alone for 7 days.

Thank you for asking Becky. We had a very sedate soiree last night. Everyone was very well behaved.

Rola, how do you cook your pumpkin. Baked or stewed?

That wasn't a smile, it was a smirk!

She didn't want him to know, so that he wouldn't take anymore time from work. He took time off for her surgery in Jan., a week ago he flew with their son to AZ to look for an apartment and will have to fly back there this fall to get him set up. So, it looks like he's going to stay home, but will work from there.

I meant to behave but it started badly. I was late. Aw good one Gail!!!

in the Pumpkin Soup, you boil it with onions and potatoes in chicken stock, then blend when cooked

Gail - answer to your question about weather, etc. Today was our first day of summer - warm with highs in 80's F, breeze much of the day, cool in the mid-60's tonight, I think (1 minute before midnight).

Becky & Rola, I had been wondering what HYB stood for. Wonder if I'll still remember tomorrow.

Rola, our neighbor plants 2 along the side of his house and ties the vines to stakes in opposite directions. That way they don't take up a lot of room.

Julie, there's a site called Urban Dictionary. I used it when I first came on here so I would know what people were saying.

Julie, I remembered to look up the name of the stuff you put in the soil to retain water. It's Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. I'm sure there's other brands out there.
