Really gotta go this time Rola. Have an extra staying tonight so better act respectable and fling fish at them! D#2, girlfriend and boy that I wish she would marry have just left for Year 12 Formal. OMG sometimes you just don't want them to leave the house, they are so preshus! Took photos so we'll see what happens. Her reaction when I told her you wanted to see her- 'You can't show your internet freak friends my photo without my permission!!' See what I can do asap! I'll show her.

Dropped in to read about last nights shenanigans in Melbourne. Generally quiet here at this time of night.

Yes June, a lot of goings on both sides of this country! Perthites 5 hour lunch and Melbs tour last night, much quietness occurring. So remind me, what's the date of NSW do?

I know, I was so disappointed not to be able to meet you. A case of so near and yet so far. If I dont catch you before you go , a huge BON VOYAGE, you lucky duck. You know if everyone was here they would all be sending you the best of wishes for your trip.

Good morning all! I see you've been busy chatting whilst I slept! Of course, nobody is around now! D#2 wants to go shopping this morning. She is going to the movies tonight with her friends. Youngest has his last league soccer game tonight, then one last tournament in July. We are expecting thunderstorms today but it is sunny and beautiful now!

Someone was asking about the stuff to hold water in the soil. The name of the stuff in the Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix is Water Absorbing granules. You can buy just that stuff, and not have to buy the potting soil. I buy it about every 5 years or so, lasts a long time just putting in my containers.
Those granules are also used to make the cool neck bands, and I keep those for hubby when he must work outside in summer. They work even better in low humidity areas. I had a great place to order cheaply, but cannot find the link now. I will put it up when I find it again, if anyone is interested.

Oops, again! I saw June was here at 9:22 and looked at my clock, which said 9:39. Brain didn't click in until I posted. 9:22 was time in Oz; 9:39 was Central Daylight time in US. Well, June, I still hope you have a great trip. Maybe you'll read it later!?

Hi, MizT! How are you this morning? I'm still reading posts from my overnight and got to your comments about Water Absorbing Granules. THAT'S what we need, as new bushes are already planted and we don't need potting soil.
I'm also intrigued about the 'cool neck bands' you mentioned. Maybe that's what's in the 'cobber neck bands' I saw in Magellan's or TravelSmith catalog? Do they really help keep you cool? I was looking into them and considering a purchase.

JULIE, yes they do keep you cool. Here with high humidity, they do not evaporate as much, so we keep them in the ice chest and change for a cool one. but were humidity is like it is here now, they evaporate and cool nicely. there are even several programs where neck bands are made and sent to Iraq and other places where the soilders and sailors need them.

Put the link back together, no spaces, to find it.
