It's pretty much gone. Now I think some of the neighbors believe I've gone off my beam. The other night I heard something on our front porch. Turned on the light, stepped outside and was attacked by a cicadia. Here I am, out there waving my arms, trying to get back to the door. Ended up going in our backdoor.

Yeah, all those poor suckers out there, preparing to return to the classroom ... tee hee! Both of our kids are teachers, though, and they are enduring the prep right now! Our son starts work 4 days after the wedding, so they will take their honeymoon during Christmas vacation! Our daughter is married with three kids, and that wedding took the stuffing out of me!

Hi, Julie. The wedding and reception will thankfully be held indoors. The weather here in San Diego is very conducive to outdoor weddings, but the ceremony will be held in a part of California that will be 110 degrees and muggy!

Judy, I've never been to CA. Is the weather similar to FL?

Becky, as large as California is, about every kind of weather is evident. The coast is cool, but there also also towering mountains, a warm and humid central valley, rainy forested areas, and a vast southern desert. Very hard to generalize, but very little of it is as warm and muggy as Florida. San Diego and Los Angeles are warm and dry year-round. I know about Ohio, though ... grew up in Michigan!

My virgin visit to SA3 has been fun ... thanks, ladies! Gotta go now, but see you soon! XO

I've only lived in OH, but have seen a lot of the eastern seaboard states. We travel in the early spring or late fall to avoid the heat/humidity. Honeymooned in FL and went swimming in the ocean. The locals thought we crazy since it was in March.

Becky, not green with red eyes - just thinking how honey bees are attracted to lovely flowers, so thought perhaps a cicada would be enchanted by your fresh, colorful, attractive tendencies!
