Well done Rola, you did it (top of page that is). It's funny Rola I think of everything in metric except my height. I know how much I weigh in kilos & wouldn't have a clue how much that is in stone, but I am 5'6' 1/2. Weird!

I can sort of work out the weights in kilo. helps when the weigh scale shows both ... just need to remember to wear the glasses when weighing my self. I'm sure it (the scales) tells lies !!!!!
much better with the lbs and oz, when cooking 16 oz = 1 lb. 14 lbs = 1 stone.
Height. definitely feet and inches... can not work out metric measurements...

I finished the first three puzzles, read the comments on tough and they were all talking about people and how much fun they were having, and the fireworks at the fair; and my picture was of a bridge. The first three puzzles were the same way. I think I'll try the 'parent's page' to see what happens there--be right back.

Yep Cyndi, all the pictures are different.
It reminds me of when I first came to this site, April 06, the pictures would be different by the time I got to them in the morning, didn't correspond to the comments. I guess Gath hasn't fixed up that little boo boo from the changeover that happened on the weekend.

Congrats on making top of the page, while I was away having our evening meal. Now I must clar the dishes, load the dishwasher and not gripe about it too much. I have not always had a dishwasher, once had to do them by hand.

ROLA, We had planned overs, Turkey and Low fat whole grain stuffing, and I steamed veggies, opened whole berry Cranberry sauce, made Banana pudding (low cal, fat free) We eat a lot of turkey and about 2 weeks ago, I asked hubby what he wanted to go with turkey for dinner. He asked for stuffing, which is called dressing in our local.Turkey and Dressing or chicken and Dressing. I am talking southern down-home SAGE and CORNBREAD dressing, not that northern USA white bread and sausage or oyster stuff they poke up a birds rear! DRESSING is made in a pan, not inside a bird. It often has some of the less choice pieces of the bird meat chopped and added , and some southern cooks who need to feed unexpected guest actually cook a chicken and put ALL the meat into the dressing.

So 2 weeks ago, I had made dressing and cooked turkey breast, and we ate. then I froze portions of the dressing and turkey. Tonight, I took out my 'fast food' thawed it and we ate.

NOW, this explaines a bit why during the competition I was thinking about what's for dinner AT 4:30 am! there is often thawing involved!

Jenni, I pick up Mum, now that her car is not working. She lives about 10/15 min drive from here. and she has a specialist/doctor appointment tomorrow, which I will be taking her - (she tries to make her appt. Wednesdays). She comes and does some ironing for me (I do most of the ironing and leave her some to do) , it's her favouite job. She will be 88 in August.

Wow 87 & still ironing, that's great. My Mum is getting to the frustrated stage, trying to do things one handed. I might have to do HER ironing, although I think I'll let my father do as much as he can (it's good for him as he gets it too easy most of the time). She will be in the sling about 6 weeks I think.

Mum tires very easily, and she would like me to leave her much more ironing. I tell her off when she attempts to do more than she should. I can tell when she really has enough, and she wont stop !!!
I can see your Mum getting frustrated, she will be well and truly fed up by the time the sling comes off.

Well hello one and all. Rola I'm glad to see that the chair is back in place. Yes, only 2 more sleeps and counting...but I'm already celebrating. Getting gifts and well wishes, cake too...I'll soon need to get back to the gym to try and stay 'kinda thin'. Ruby, I claim 5'3, but am told that I must be shrinking 'cause every one else only sees 5'2...It really doesn't matter, I stand out in a crowd..I talk rather loud....shhhhhhh. Its getting near time for me to grab a few zzzz's, I'll give all a good night, and wishes for a good day! Peace

You guys have been chatting up a storm! Mamacita, you'll probably be celebrating for a week! And you deserve it too! Good night Mamacita!
I try to avoid ironing at all costs. A little wrinkles never hurt anybody! Most of the clothes come out pretty good from the dryer.
