MizT, I don't think anyone will be able to beat your 7 in a row!! But you also made it to the top 4 more times, so you are definitely the reigning champ for the 'Top of the Page Post' with a total of 11!!! Rola is in 2nd place with 4 (not in a row) and I only have 3.

Enjoyed eavesdropping on the food conversations. vdV, the recipe I found for the pufferwhatevers had yeast, but they did say often made without to eliminate the wait. I want to try the yeast ones!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poffertjes
http://en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Poffertjes In fact, I have not made breakfast yet, do I have the 30 min wait time for today? And all the ingredients?

Stella Looks like the SMs can now make thier own smilies now, so I am sure a congratulations one will show up soon! Might have to do that just for the smilie toys. hehehe. How is the family today? I still have not been to see the prom pictures, just too many things to DO on this site.
I do have batter for the poffertjes, well sort of, rising in kitchen. I know without the special pan they will not be the same, but they will be another taste for pancakes :>)

Wow, that was quick MizT! You're good being able to make a new recipe just like that! We've been very busy with all of the kid's activities and my oldest daughter is trying to find a summer job. My youngest son has his spring concert tonight in 'The Egg'. It's a theater in Albany, NY in the shape of an egg. It actually has several levels of theaters inside and I wonder if the school has to pay to use it. The concert should be very nice though. Their Christmas concert was very impressive. Although, I think the seniors have already graduated, so they will be missing a number of band members. My son plays the flute.

My oldest daughter's birthday is in a couple of weeks and she has ordered my husband's Belgium waffles. They have yeast in them and come out big and fluffy. All of my kids ask for them on their birthday and for Christmas. We eat them with strawberries and whipped cream(homemade)When he makes black forest (chocolate) then we have a warm cherry mixture on top with whipped cream. He makes it other times as well but it is a long process and the Belgium iron only makes two at a time!

Al said the recipe was a success. As he walked out the door to the shop he said ' those were gooood' Of course I was still at the stove making the last of them! Now I did have to sub some things to make them heart healthy, and Rola and vdV would probably notice a difference, but since we had never had them, they were very tasty!

file under SMALL WORLD.
I was telling my daughter in California about the poffertjes and she said OH, Dutch Pancakes. We had those when we visited (her fiance)'s Dad and step Mom in Idaho. One of fiancee's half brothers had been taught by his Dutch grandmother how to make them, ( step mother's Mom) the Brother had her recipe and her pan! He had made P's for them during thier visit. Served with strawberries and whipped cream. So, ya never know, do you?
I must be off to re-provision today, hubby is low on his diet cola. I am low on milk for my morning coffee. Two must haves at my house. Wonder what I can find to bring home for dinner? might stop at the grocery that has the fish market, and get steamed fish or some type seafood. I have planned over steamed veggies, should work.
What's for dinner at YOUR house??

The last book I read was The Monarchy. (I really bugs me that you can't underline here.) It was about Queen Elizabeth, not at all well written, and not at all particularly informative.

But I am waiting with baited breath for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I've pre-ordered it from Amazon, and I can't wait.

I'm just wild about Harry, and have been since the series began. When I taught, Scholastic Magazine kept me flush in paper-back book sale notices. For some reason I read the blurb on Harry 1. It appealed to me, and I ordered it. I loved it, and I don't usually care for juvenile fiction.

If I had to write another thesis, (Thank goodness, I don't have to write another one.) I'd have to write about Harry and one of Dickens' lads, most likely Pip from Great Expectations. Why, that would probably write itself.
