Liz... it's because someone ELSE (not one of US) set up SA9 a while ago, trying to lure us there. Since the name is taken, we either had to go to 9A or skip to 10.

I think I need more Christmas and holiday decoration smilies, I only have these 2.

I am off to finish dinner. Almost that time here.

I will be checking on periodically to see if any news from Rolanda's Mom.

OH, I agree, this site opens and loads sooo much faster than SA8 did for me, so much more enjoyable!

Back again. I've hopefully changed to my one and only xmas avatar - I seem to have deleted all of the other ones.

The car is serviced. I actually bought a couple of stocking stuffers so have officially started shopping. Now I think I'm going to have a Nana nap.

FINALLY got the second beef done. We got a butcher's assistant to come to the farm after dark, and he worked scary fast. He did in 10 minutes what it took 3 people 2 hours to do yesterday. I'm cooking up some trimmings for the collies tonight.

Thanks for the well wishes, two fingers are pretty bad but got them with ice packs straight away so the others have not blistered as bad. Didn't even think of the aloe vera June. Cyn, nup didn't drop it don't know how.
Thanks Gail for the update on Rolanda's mum. Oh well, lunch break is over will try and pop back in for an update later.
Luv to y'all!

ha ha...good one Heidi...
I bought Pete's present the other day... on line... much better prices than you can get in the shops and it is what I would have bought in the shop. Pete is shopping for a new computer for Lachie... I think that will do for him apart from a few stocking stuffer type bits and pieces.

Everybody else is going to get a home made Christmas cake providing I pull my finger out and get cooking now...
One of the BEST presents I ever received was an enormous biscuit barrel packed with my sister's home made shortbread. I go nuts over shortbread.

I am ready to start thinking about the tree... where to put it... decisions... decisions...

Healing vibes to all that are ailing / injured / having 'stuff' done...
Catch you all later ♥

Afternoon all!
I had a mad thought today - luckily it was only there for a few seconds - I thought it might be a good idea to get a smaller tree. What was I thinking??!!

Home made chrissie cake, hmmm, NOT good for my waist line as I'm the only one in the house that would eat it. Sometimes it's a good thing to not live near you...

MizT, thank you for the new site, I am enjoying it - though I do think the number of pages we reached on SA8 was kinda cool.

Liz, I'm still fighting a cold. Actually went and bought myself an inhaler today. Tonight we get to sit in the park watching rehearsal so I figured I'd store up some energy.

Heidi, a freezer full of beef sounds wongerful about now. I noticed there were some cuts here over $30 a kg this week. They looked so good I drooled over them a bit before I moved on...

MizT... we got none of the beef. This is for a whole bunch of Muslim families in Louisville. I just donated my time.

I suppose I will have to check in later for information from Rolanda, if I get up for my nightly stroll to the littlest room. I am sleepy, it is a little earlier than usual, but no one is watching the clock.

Good night friends, and still sending thoughts and prayers for Rolanda's Mum.

Wow, that felt strange, only having to go to page 2!
Movie was OK - bit of a strange idea. Two women near us got up and left after 15 minutes. Hmmm!
Hopefully we'll hear soon about Rolanda's Mum. Will check back later.

I just got another message from Rolanda a few minutes ago, a bit later than she'd predicted. Her mother is on the ward, surgery went well, lymph nodes not taken, very drowsy, more later.
So pleased with this news so far.

Thanks Gail - good to know.
Well, I'm a supporting member here for the next 12 months. It's good to now get the reminder messages when membership is due (but I got them every time I opened this site or moved page to page for a week, since I sent a cheque and had to wait for it to clear). Another good idea is that I got an email to say my membership has been extended. Don't have to wait and wonder - Thanks Gath!!

Just found out that Tom Jones and David Campbell are doing a concert at our local winery (Sirromet - about 3kms away) in February - called 'A day on the green' - they're open air concerts in wineries around Australia. Tickets start at $105 each. Bookings open next Monday. Will decide between now and then. Once in a lifetime opportunity, I think. Diana Krall is on in January. Only 2 things bother me - the weather (hot/storms) and whether we have to sit on the ground or can bring a fold-up chair.
Or there is the Marquee option at $7000 for 20 people - would probably include dinner from the restaurant. Got to win the lottery for that option.

Cyn, there are usually options for seating, all at different prices of course. Try giving them a ring.
