Yes, I looked at that and couldn't make heads or tails of it! I've left it to my friend to find out - she's so keen for us to come, she can do the investigation. Is it on near to you? I didn't check out the locations of the other concerts/wineries.

Our nearest venue is at Rochford Winery, about a 40 minute drive up near Healesville. I have joined up because I really wanted to go see the B52s etc but timing wasn't great. I have yet to go to one. I have no interest to see Tom Jones, thought I believe it is his retirement concert series.

Good to hear you're feeling better, Lizzy.
B52's and Proclaimers were on here a few weeks ago.
Broni - probably Cleveland RSL for DC but, being my age, I DO want to see TJ. They say he's excellent in concert and, NO, I will not be throwing anything at him.

Hello all.
Rolanda...so happy to hear that no lymph nodes were effected. Our wishes must have helped, that Mum came though surgery and is back in the ward and O.K.
I was thinking of her at my lunch praying that the procedure was straight forward.I'm very happy it all went well.Hopefully she won't need chemo or rad. now.
Broni...I haven't heard of the movie. How are your fingers now?
Heidi..I am so silly and didn't realize the connection between the false SA9 and the new SA9a.Thanks for enlightening me.
The thought of killing animals really upsets me,but thank goodness there are people who can butcher because the smell of cooking meat gets my tummy rumbling, especially on a bbq.
Bean...I'm also thinking about putting up the Christmas tree, but the lower half of Renaes has put a damper on it because hers has tinsill, balls etc laying around the lounger room from the twin girls who think it is such a novelty to have new toys.Maybe the tree needs to be up high or in a play pen. They are only 2yrs,and it is easily fixed.Hope you get your Christmas cakes as presents baked, you have more energy than me.
Cyn..Gath let me keep my membership alive for awhile even after he gave plenty of notice that it would expire. He probably got it late from me.
Josh,SIL had his hernia op today...ok and he should be home tomorrow with 3 weeks hols to recoup. The girls have missed Daddy not picking them up much for maybe 6 mths now.Lots of pain, would sit down to hold them,so all will be better soon.
Our PJ day at work was a good laugh for rezzies, staff and visitors. Then every Tuesday we have a lecture, todays was on stress relief. We did breathing exercizes, massages and a fun pass the parcel at the end where most had to do something silly,or you got a surprise present.I won a lovely bar of rose soap(because of my skin complaint)it will make a great stocking filler.
I must get to bed now.Catch you later.

Sounds like a great day Nola. Glad to hear your SIL is well. I can imagine the girls and his frustration at not being able to pick them up.

Lyrics for the day,
Hey where did we go,
Days when the rains came
Down in the hollow,
Playin' a new game,
Laughing and a running hey, hey
Skipping and a jumping
In the misty morning fog with
Our hearts a thumpin' and you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.
Whatever happened
To Tuesday and so slow
Going down the old mine
With a transistor radio
Standing in the sunlight laughing,
Hiding behind a rainbow's wall,
Slipping and sliding
All along the water fall, with you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.
Do you remember when we used to sing,
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da
So hard to find my way,
Now that I'm all on my own.
I saw you just the other day,
My how you have grown,
Cast my memory back there, Lord
Sometime I'm overcome thinking 'bout
Making love in the green grass
Behind the stadium with you
My brown eyed girl
You my brown eyed girl
Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da.

Had to make a few phone calls when I got home, before I could come and say hello.
When Maaike and I left Mum, just after 5.00 she was looking ok, had good colouring in her face, chirpy..
She was quite sleepy for a few hours, very much aware thou that we were there.. She saw Maaike sitting there, not long after arriving in the ward, and said to her I forgot to give you $15.00 for Jemma C Present yesterday !!!

Thanks for letting us know how your Mum is, Rolanda. She seems to be doing well for her age. I think older people are much more stoic that we are. {{{hugs}}} to you all.

Rolanda, I too hope they keep her at least another night. To be allowed out of hospital so soon after an op like that is a frightening thought. If she comes home will she have someone visiting her for a while from the hospital?

A nurse comes to visit daily for a week, to check on dressings and drainage..
We have also asked for a Silver Chain Nurse to come and shower her, starting when she come here, and when she finally goes home.. Till she is ready to do it on her own.

Well, so good to see things rollin' along here at SA9A! Lizzy leaving lyrics, Dags talking undies...yep, feels like home!
Rola - so glad to hear mum is doing well - hoping she stays put at the hospital another night. Boy they kick everyone out too soon these days, but hey, sometimes home is a lot healthier than the hospital!

ROCK LOBSTER!!!! (love the B52s - saw them in concert in Santa Cruz many years ago)
Broni - hope the pinkies are feeling better...good chatting with you this morn.
Had a MSN chat with Rena on Sunday morning...so good to catch up with her and share memories of Oz. Were any of your ears burning?
I'm going to have to do some train travel when I return.

Nola.... I am an animal lover. There is nothing that disturbs me more than seeing an animal suffer. That is why I prefer being present when the critters are butchered. I make sure that they do NOT suffer, nor do they feel a thing. That would give me major nightmares. But I am also a carnivore and a realist. Farm animals are bred for meat..... pure and simple. Humans require meat for the proper amino acids for brain development. Vegetable proteins don't cut it. I would rather eat meat from my own animals because I know they were happy and healthy all their lives, and when they go they don't feel a thing. I think that's what I'd like for myself.
