jeb do you think beagles would look good in lycra? Come to think of it who does look exceptional in lycra? (Mary I'm betting BDT and EV do but that is between us and Terry and billy...) I'm thinking of making fred a swimming suit complete with goggles (sort of biggles style), he has to get rid of the 'budgie smugglers' if he is to impress the Olympic swimming squad committee in readiness for being chosen for Beijing... now there is another topic Beijing, perhaps better left alone for another day...

Well Gath the speed of comments being posted on this page seems almost non-existent (present company excepted; billy, Mary, Mamacita 2 and jeb... so I shouldn't worry too much. But I'd send out a questionaire to all the members and ask them why they are so reticent to post on the site. There must be hundred's of members lurking who must have some valid/interesting/exceptional/witty comments to make... in addition to all the members who post on a daily basis... aren't there at least two a day who join?
Of course it is their right to remain silent but it would add to the mix and brighten up a dull day... it doesn't do to have rain every day a bit of sunshine makes all the difference.
Well I posted it again on this page as it might get lost all too soon and it would be nice to have some feedback from new members and old alike.

André, THANK YOU for introducing the thought of BDT and EV in lycra. HOW AM I GOING TO GET ANY WORK DONE TODAY!!!!!!!!
Maybe the newbies don't know of this site? Maybe introducing a topic on Easy and then announcing responses on here may pique an interest?

Also, i had to back page several to find out how the beagles in lycra thing started (still can't fathom the jump from sausage duelling to dressed up dogs) so you know, newcomers to this forum could find all you nutters a bit scary

bexta, you need to go back several more pages to ken the drift from sausage dueling to beagles in sartorial elegance. It makes perfect sense to those who were involved in the exchange. I left a few remarks based on the thinkings of Spinoza and Descartes, to name a few, that may help deal with the rapid seques inherent in these pages.

Hi bexta... please join in at any given moment and tell 'the others' it is safe to do so given that the sausage duelling has ended in a blood bath of casings and quiche debauchery... We are still awaiting comments from new members and old members alike to liven up the proceedings, although it is never dull on these 'ere pages.

A few hours have gone by, I just now took a look at the forums page and saw my name on the discussion page. Not remembering what I had writen earlier, I find myself revisiting the page. I feel like a goose waking up to a new world. André, is there a thought for the day which might explain my bemilderments?

I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!

To find out and learn to question yourself about who and what you really are, you should try to separate regularly and constantly the "I AM" from the "I am this or that..." the moment you add this or that, you look at yourself as an "object" and an object you certainly are NOT... and while you are questioning yourself, try to feel and experience deeply what you really are...and what it means to just BE... feel the I AM...empty of anything else... without adding I am ...this...or that... be conscious of not having images of any subpersonality...You will find out that to feel EMPTY and just be the pure "I AM" will be difficult, but worth all the effort.....

Like a rim shot after a poor joke, Beanie & Cecil, Abbot & Costello, cheese & crackers, when I get to "I AM", it just seems to be followed by "THEREFORE". Then the question becomes: Is "THEREFORE" a condition of or a lead in to the state of being 'this or that'. Without seeking interpretation from any of our preeminent 20th century philosiphers, why don't we see what can be made of this question appy has so intriguingly provided.

I got so intrigued with the question, I forgot to follow it with a question mark. Somewhere in that oversight might also lurk an element of the "I AM" condundrum.

I find myself reciting 'sum, es, est, sumus, estis, sunt' and recalling indicatives, then the infinitive 'esse', taking me back before I was but was going to be or had been or might have been had I not been who I was at that time which was the state of being, in essence just esse. Is this the effect of hyperbaton?

Well after copious amounts of tea I've finally come to the resulting conclusion and find myself in the state of 'I am'. I knew that I would get there in the end. Now what appy?

Now that you have isolated the "I AM", it seems to me that the next step would be to determine if the "I AM" is exactly what "YOU ARE" or the "I AM" that other people expect you "TO BE". In other words, are you willing to struggle with maintaining other's expectations or be happy with who you "ARE" and to hel! with what other people think?

Hot coffee???!!!! My Gawd woman, you were supposed to be drinking tea!!!!!!!!! And the green veriety as per appy's Rx, at that. You may have inadvertantly redirected all the previouse research into an entirely new direction. Perhaps to the study of "WHEN WAS", "WHO DID" and possibly, "WHY NOT". It's a whole new ball game, now.

So now we are edging into the Greek? The frat I pledged was I Felta Thi but was black balled from that one and had to settle for Tappa Kegga Da. That's where I learned the virtue of supplying all the parties with a moose and a couple of llamas. Those were some wild parties! Haven't yet heard from the moose.
