Back to the wedding of the centuary....

My nephews bride is Venezuelan and the theme was the mixing of cultures....WOW! What a party!!! After all the tradition Aussie speeches etc. we all received party bags containing floral garlands for our necks, feather masks, whistles and maracas and it turned into a mardigras!!

Young and old were all into it - dancing up a storm. It wasn't a 'sit down' affair [tables where available] but most people had been mingling all night which had us all well primed to really let our hair down and party. I don't think the reception venue had ever seen the likes of it.

There is going to be another ceremony in Venezuela next March for all the brides family and friends and I'm saving my pennies to try and get over there....can't imagine what it would be like in her home town. Think I'd better do a Latin dancing class so watch out..Bean may be heading to the other side of the globe!!

Now it is over and out from this brussel sprout...sorry...Broad Bean....

Time to hang out the wash, empty dishwasher, put out the rubbish....do all the chores that the boys would do if they were here!

Woke up to snow lying and still falling this morning. First real snow of the winter... pity it is now spring. It has melted by this afternoon. Callie was a little unsure of what this white stuff was.

Hello All....Brenda...sure hope the snow is over before I get there.....right now it appears that I will be packing more silk than anything ...travels well, can be worn in most temps and remain comfortable....but of course I will be including my denims. My biggest concern right now is foot wear. Comfortable yet warm and stylish. Must be able to stand up to a variety of weather conditions....hmmmm, have to check that.

Maen all! I spent Easter Sunday washing clothes, and it's just as well I did as it is raining again. Of course the dark load is still on the line and the whites are soaking....

We hid 24 coloured eggs around the house, but only 23 were found... I'm guessing we'll find the last one when it starts to pong.

Mum is helping start up an art gallery in her small town. On the first open day two paintings sold - one was hers!!

SUZY, congrats to your Mum, how wonderful one of her paintings sold! Bet you are just a bit proud of her!

Just a teensy bit MizT. Nearly 20 years ago Mum gave up art classes in order take on nursing classes. Finally she is getting a chance to show her stuff!!

How wonderful for your mum Suzy...why don't you take some pictures of her work and show them to the world? I know I'd love to see them....a mother's day gift of sorts...also a gift to the world. Please pass on my congratulations for the sale.

Finally back online! Our connection went down yesterday around noon and we have only just been able to get onto the company, they were avoiding their phones yesterday! I wonder why?
Apparently it was a Victoria-wide problem, and it was up about ten minutes after the phonecall.

Hi Gail, Glad you're back.
There's nothing worse than losing your internet connection or not having your car for the day. In those cases, I feel like my arms have been cut off - shows what I rely on. Another is Foxtel, if that's down I can't cope. The strange thing is that there are days I may not go anywhere near the computer, car, or the TV - it's just knowing that you can't is the problem. Or is that just me?

Ahhh, there's my chair now, I shall sit with feet up and enjoy some cake.

I did it! I posted a photo of one of my mother's paintings on my page. First try too! Obviously this isn't the one she sold - it's gone...

I had better watch out or soon I'll be motivated to find myself a chair.....

Hello Gail, Rolanda and MizT - I've probably missed you all again. It's a slow day today and, although I'm supposed to be doing accounts/invoices for our business, I keep checking back on site.

Talked to my sister today and was told that my nephew's caterer bailed on them (said he was too busy). The wedding is less than a month away. Called him up and guess who's helping? Spoke to hubby and he offered to do whatever he could to help.

yay...what do you think MizT....not quite as flash as my first choice of chair but oh so very comfy.....will probably need to get around for a while. Have been down the gym working on it to try and increase my mobility.

I'll be able to put my feet up here and you'll never get rid of me now...I'll even be able to have a wee nap.

I don't seem to be having any problems! Just make sure once you've 'ticked' which avatar you want, you must the press the select button.

how confusing...this will take me a while to sort out! MizT sent me one with just my name but I haven't submitted it yet...we are now on slomo and it is all taking too long. I think that I may be responsible for using up our allocation this month!!!! Don't tell Lachie that I've confessed!!
