Cyn, It was a fabulous day. Wonderful food and company. It was great meeting Broni and the Melbourne grew. Even hubby (who has never done a puzzle) enjoyed meeting everyone and now has an idea who I am talking about at times!!

RUBY, sorry to hear about your sad sad week. May things begin to be much brighter soon.

I had to give up my last dog also, when we moved house away from the farm. she could not have lived in this neighborhood, she just did not play well with other animals and I knew needed a large place. So I know the depth of the thought that goes with this. I think it is akin to a mother giving up a child for addoption, it is doing the best for your fur baby!!

Thoughts and prayers for your friend in the loss of her husband. I know she will need you in the days ahead. let her lean on you and you can come and lean on US!

Suzy, happy to hear that d2 is singing at a nursing home and around the house. Sounds like she's taking it seriously.

I remember when I was in the Brownies, we would go and sing for the residents at the County Home.

When my grandpa was in a nuring home, I met all kinds of interesting people. One couple I met had been performers in the Ringling Bros. Circus. They told stories about meeting the last czar of Russia and other leaders of different countries.
