that's three TOPPs in a row,

Good morning all! Today is D day, leaving for Disney!(tonight after dinner) Please say a little prayer that we make it all the way down and back! The last few days have been disasterous! My niece couldn't get the car towed down to her house so she decided to rent a car so she could get the kids home. (She wanted to do that on Monday, but when they wouldn't let her get her stuff out of her car after 4:30, she thought she could get the van towed.) Since our old car broke down yesterday morning, I was going to drive my niece in the van to the airport to get the car. I ran to the store to pick up a few things we needed for the trip and on the way back home the van broke!!!!! I heard a clunk and then I couldn't really steer the van, the power steering was gone. I was only a couple of miles from home so I made it, with the van overheating. Hubby had to leave work (1/2 hour away) to come home to bring them to the rental place. (across from Max's school) You couldn't script a more disasterous series of events! So, you see why we need a little help with some prayers! Thanks guys! Talk to you when I get back! MizT, my family gets more complicated that Step children. My family....Step son#1 46 Step son#2 44 DD#1 24 DS 21. Richard's side stepdaughter #1 27,
step daughter#2 23(different father from no1) and daughter 17, this is the daughter we have adopted.
Adoption laws over here are strange. Richard and I had to adopt Richard's daughter as a couple.We had to go through all the same checks as someone adopting a child from a childrens home etc. We had to prove we had sufficient money and the room to adopt her. At one stage a week or so before the adoption went through the court Richard had to sign away his parental rights. Even at that stage the courts could have ruled that we couldn't adopt .

I have enjoyed reading the shared stories of courtship and marriage and blending families! Thanks for sharing! Makes my life seem quite boring in comparison. (Hubby and I met in college, married later, had our children, now expecting second grandchild.)

Mary, I hope you get excellent results from the biopsy! Sounds like you need a breather today.

Stella, they say things come in threes so I think you're covered... No room for anything more to happen so I'm sure you will have a wonderful trip! Don't worry too much about your niece while you're gone. You can't do anything until you get back anyway.

Hello everyone - last time I was here it was p44. Grandies have gone home and the house is peaceful. I love them dearly but they tire me out - they do not stop moving or talking unless they're asleep!

Hi girls - my computer kicked me off and i had to try again - that's twice today! Don't know why.
Mary - good luck with the results of your biopsy.
Rolanda - chosen the tiles - spoken to my carpenter sil - but that's as far as we've got. Nothing definite for starting times though - could still be weeks/months away.

Just dropping by to say "Hi!" and let you know I am still alive.
Survived my flight to Adelaide and back, 5 hours to get there and 4.3 hours to get back, amazing the difference a head/tail wind can make!

I've really got a mental block about the disruption!
