D2 was looking on line last night at new houses to buy (she is 17) I think I am going to have to sit down and set her straight to the fact that we are not made of money... the houses she was looking at were all in the region of £70million, some with 25 bedrooms and the same number of bathrooms

OOOPS, I guess I did not get on here yesterday. I thought I had, busy day, I had to draw up a floor plan, at hubby's request. Work, you know, it does interfere with my fun on occasion.

OH I know why I thought I had been here! I caught Gail and Broni and Liz and I forget who all else in the chat room! Thier late night, my morning. I knew I had a sudoku fix yesterday! Then I got busy and never got back.

coffee tea and choccie now available. I am a bit shy on milk, so use sparingly till I get back from grocer today!

I really hate grocery shopping, wonder why this gal is smiling??

SUZY, thanks for the Milk, twas good of you to bring some to tide us over. We bought milk today YEAH.

Story about the milk. Now, husband always watches prices that ring up when items scanned. Gallon of milk scanned in at $4.28. Now, when we picked up the milk, I commented to hubby, milk has gone down a bit here ( I usually buy at another store where it is $3.97, but was not going to that store today) So I ask hubby, wasn't that milk $4.08 and he says YEP. Clerk is there staring off into space or something. So I tell her, that item rang up incorrectly. she goes to check, comes back with same milk and says, nope it is $4.28. Hubby chimeres in, but you have it priced at $4.08 on the sticker on the shelf. " Oh, says the bright clerk, That is another milk at that price" Now just why did brite eyes not bring a gallon of THAT milk back with her?? I ask her a different brand?? NOpe, the one with the white cap. so now hubby goes back to the back of the store and swaps for the OTHER milk with the white cap.

Now for the strange part. Same Store Brand, Same Non fat milk, but the blue capped milk is 20 cents a gallon more than the white capped milk, and they are both on the same shelf in the cooler and only one price listed. Hubby was about to make a scene, so I quickly paid and hurried him to the car, with my cheaper milk!

Hi, All! MizT, I know how you feel about prices! Every week they've gone up - often with little reason or correct price on the shelf! I actually found a store this week with a gallon of 2% milk for $1.99. We haven't seen a price like that for probably a year (and we really watch the sales).

Just a quick pop in to say what a wongerful time I had at lunch today. I met up with Liz from Melbourne and her friend Leanne and it was as I always say, just like meeting old friends. We had a lovely lunch and a great natter. A good time was had by all.

Morning sudokuland! Coffee is on! Tea, and choccie also.

A cool and damp day today, after another Friday storm came through. Tornado watch, warnings all afternoon. We stayed in dome for about 4 hours. Only problem with dome is, just one computer, and guess who gets first dibs on that? (hint, not Tricia)

Well, 2 problems actually, we get terrible reception on TV out there and only one station at that. MUST have TV tuned in to the local weather,I think that is a law hehe. The local stations preempt programing to give continious weather coverage as long as any tornado warning is in the viewing area. They were on continiously yesterday for 8 hours, as the system made it's way diagonally through our state.

No damage here, thankfully, just lots of rain. But there was some damage in our state, but no deaths and i think only injuries were reported lightning struck a couple people. Lightning started a house fire, in another location. Really weird weather lately.

BEAN, yes another TOPP, just out of reach again for me too. Not nice to do more than a CP into a TOPP. I have been managing to set up the page for others to make it lately. Lost my TOPP championship from SA1 or was it 2, Rolanda? she is the keeper of the TOPPS records here in sudokuland hehe.

Just think, yesterday I had on short sleeves and shorts, today I am back in sweat pants and long sleeves, and the sweat shirt hoodie would not be too warm today!

I knew we were not finished with cold weather. Saw the blackberries beginning to bloom earlier in the week.

RUBY, I hope that you are safe and the storm quickly passes. We sort of see the systems go across the USA here, Started with Sue is it in OK, from easy board? and marched right on across the country with snow up north, and rain south, across the whole USA.
