Maen everyone!

Missed the chance to TOPP, but that's okay, cause I'm not on the bottom anymore. I was squished down there...

Hey guys, it happens all the time, there have been times when it has taken days to turn the page! Don't fret, we are all hovering, just not a lot to say.
I have been a bit busy today, trying to do three days STUFF in a day, only because I refuse to do any STUFF on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Maen sudoluland! Coffee, tea and choccie, again is on the tea trolley, help yourselves.

Brrrr, winter has returned! heat on and everything, as temps went to around 40 last night. After 68 for a low, 40 seems really cold!

getting colder next 2 nights, will have to bring in or cover my plants. I knew there was a reason I had not tossed the old bedspreads even though I have not used them in almost a year! Huumm, make that 5 months, I think I did cover plants for early frosts in fall, when it was going to be a brief dip in temps and then back to more moderate temps for a couple weeks. I cannot stand to loose my flowers and try to entend the season on both ends!

Mamaceita checked in on EASY. She is having a good time, but her cell phone is not working in France and she is not able to connect with members who were trying to phone her! sounds like she is enjoying herself though. Check in on 13th date, about page 5 or 6 if you want to see her message.

YEA, occasionally we have ocasions we stay on a page way to long! Everyone seems to get busy at the same time! when you see that happen, it is time to post a quiz or ask a question, to get everyone to talking again.

It has been a busy week for me and next week is busier. I got to stay home on Tuesday and Thursday. Monday and Wednesday are baseball practice. Friday was golf lesson for Amber in the morning and then Girl Guide cookie selling at the store in the afternoon. Saturday morning was an extra baseball practice for girls who wanted to try pitching. I don't get to stay home one day next week. Tuesday is vet day for Nuka, Thursday is Guides for Amber, and Friday afternoon is Sparks/Brownies. Isn't spring fun?

I did a stupid thing yesterday. While Amber was at practice, I decided to go for a little walk. There are some really nice trails at the bottom of our road. I hardly got any distance from the road when I stepped on a really uneven patch and twisted my right ankle. I landed on my left knee and thought I wouldn't be able to get back up again. After a minute or two I finally did and hobbled back to my car. I wasn't sure I would be able to drive but it wasn't too bad. Spent the afternoon and evening with my foot propped up and applying ice. It is still swollen and sore today. Guess I won't get all the STUFF done I wanted to this weekend. At least I got some laundry done last week so I don't have to go up and down stairs. I don't even want to think about trying that.

Rena, your week sounds like mine! I streamlined a little this year so it is better than last... d2 goes to singing lessons on Tuesday, and d1 to gymnastics, d2 has netball practice on Thursdays, both have bowling on Friday, netball games on Saturdays. I tutor on Monday and Wednesday(used to be Monday through Thursday). No netball, gymnastics or bowling for the next 2 weeks as it's school holidays, but there is baseball practice on Sunday morning, followed by a 3 day tournament Anzac weekend..

Will an embarrassing thing do? I met hubby in LA, but was only there a week and then flew off to Michigan. He flew up the next weekend and we drove to Canada/Toronto for the weekend. At the border we had to get out of the car for an interview - they found man travelling with a US drivers license and woman travelling with a foreigh passport extremely suspicious. They gave us the warning about it being illegal to get married in Canada and then attempt to return to the US... I said, 'we're not getting married, we've only known each other 2 weeks'. At which point the man's scowl turned into a grin and I turned bright red.

My hubby has the strangest story in our family. when he was a toddler around 2 years old, his family moved to a small town in Tennessee. Family only had one car as was common in that day. Remember, there were no carseats and seat belts in those days. He and his Mom got in the car every morning, Dad drove to work, and Mom drove back home, and returned to pick up Dad every afternoon. That was a twice a day trip, for 6 months. Al stood behind his father's or mother's shoulder when they were driving.

Before we met and married, Al was working for a company repairing office machines, and traveled Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida Pandhadle, maybe into a few other states, I cannot remember. So he had calls in this same small town where he had lived. He was driving down a street going to customers office, and came to an intersection. for some reason he cannot explain, he turned right and drove about 2 blocks down the street, and stopped in front of the house he recognized as the house he had lived in at age 2. He had not been into that town even since leaving at 2 and 1/2 years old. He said he recognized the house, the huge tree in front yard, the driveway and garage. cound even tell that the original front porch he remembered had been enclosed as a sun room, and the roof color was changed, but everything else was the same. He wrote down the address and kept it in his billfold.

Soon after he returned to Alabama, he visited his parents and asked his Mom what was the address of the house they lived in in Tennessee. she could not remember, it had been 25 years since they left. but she found some old letters she had written her older sister ( who had recently died and those letters were returned to his Mom) and they had the return address in Tennessee on them. Al took his paper from his pocket, opened it and laid it on the table, and his mother laid down the letters. Yes, the same address. He had somehow drove directly to a house he lived in when 2 and 1/2 years old.
