It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Good for you Viv! I like your decision to be you!

Even if the extended family are not too happy with Kim's choice, it's her choice and should be respected. Kudos to you, pthwwwttt to them.

I hope you manage to keep out of the middle of it all and just get to enjoy being with the new widdle won.... don't let them (the ones who want to tell you who you can like and talk to) drag you into debate!!!

Viv, what a stupid family. There is a lovely little baby to consider, how wonderful for her parents to be making the commitment to be together. What they will do is eventually drive Kim and Kira away from the family. I am pleased they will have you to turn to if they ever need anyone. Enjoy your cuddle with Kira tonight.

Looks like we are going to get snow sometime in the next 24 hours. Well, not the first time we get snow in March. Up to 2 inches here, and cold enough it might stay a day or so. Brrrr, the forecast keeps changing.

I have all the necessities, milk, bread, bathroom tissue, no need to make a grocery store trip. But you know, once snow is mentioned in Alabama, your presence at the nearest grocery is mandatory!

I think Heidi has some built in alarm on her computer. Once the posts get to 35 on a page, it starts going off, so she can be there for the TOPP hehehe.

MizT, I laughed at your comment about presence at the nearest grocery store. We get something like that happening when there is a public holiday. The shops will be closed for a day so everyone has to do a weeks worth of shopping - just in case! It's insane! You can't fit down the aisles for all the people there. I go out of my way to make sure I'm nowhere near the shops on that day... If I forget and head over anyway, I get a warning when I can't find a parking space and head straight back home again.

It's spitting snow, rain and ice intermittently. Just plain unfriendly weather.

Our light cold rain is expected to turn to snow after midnight here. It is getting colder, fast, and going to be cold for the next 2 days. Did I say I do not like snow?

Suzy, here, at the mention of snow, stores sell out of many items. Bread, milk, and beer usually.

I may be rather late getting here....but I'm here!!!!
Not feeling all that well...actually I feel much as Heidi described her mono state...but I don't believe that's my case...I've been on a high steroid dose and then developed a sinus infection,as my dosage was starting to be reduced,..therefore my original state wasn't too bad, but as I reduce the steroids..the worse I felt...Its all about the infection at this point...hope to be heading in the healing direction soon..right now I'm rather scattered....In addition, I had a house guest that I enjoyed spending time with, so now you all know why I haven't been around much...you all were of course in my thoughts and prayers and hopefully things have gone smoothly for most if not all of you.... Love you guys.....
Must get Gath to restore my SP status and smilies when I have time!!!!

Another delay in the arrival of the finches. The two coming from Texas tomorrow.... aren't. They're going to try to ship them either next Wednesday or Saturday.

We've belled the mouse!
Two coats done on the walls and thankfully, the colour has all blended quite well. Thank you Suzy for your words of encouragement earlier, you gave me hope that the second coat would do the trick, and it did.
Now all that's left is the black woodwork and the black feature wall...oh, and have to touch up some (uh hum) spots of wall colour on the ceiling!

Gail!!! Yep, that second coat does the trick..... unless you've picked a woefully bad color for the room. (been there - done that)

Now to go and perform miracles...find something for dinner!
Can't wait till everything gets back to some semblance of normalcy. We should be financial on Tuesdayish so I will do some shopping and hopefully we will be able to have our menu planned.
Although, things will go a little awry from Thursday. I am driving over to Adelaide to go through Mum's things and pack the furniture I have 'inherited' for it to be shipped over here.

Evening all.
Mamacita - hope you feel better soon.

Gail - glad to hear the cat has been belled.

Heidi - hope the birds are shipped sooner rather than later. I was in a pet shop looking for flea wash yesterday and saw 7 gouldian finches - made me think of you. The funny thing was they said they would only sell them in pairs - wonder what they're going to do with the odd one.

Judy - I missed it too.

Having a bit of a giggle here about the things your stores sell out of MizT. Beer? A drink best served really cold, but must manage to warm the insides???

I put some food and post flood photos on my page if anyone wants to see them. Our home looks disgusting, so it's a bit embarrassing - things floated in, rubbish everywhere......
