Does anyone know anything about green frogs, just found one in a 44gal drum out in the sun at work and he looks pretty dehydrated, I have put him in a shallow bowl of water and am drizzling water over him, just don't want him to suffer.

I shall bid you all , and hie me off to bed.
My head is hurting, but I don't want to take any more aspirin. I don't want another night like last night.

Heidi did hear the alarm! But Judy got it anyway...

Broni, I don't I'm sorry. Poor thing. It sounds like you are doing the only thing that can be done. I hope he makes it, but at least if he doesn't he won't be as distressed as he has been.

I'm not a frog expert, but I once found a rather dehydrated looking frog and dumped him in a water tank. He slowly filled out and in a few hours was looking and acting normal. Then one of my cats caught him and ate him.

Broni - I would think that what you're doing for the frog would be the best. If you immerse it in water, it has to be able to get out.
Suzy - I would vote for James - very professional, loved David but he's apparently been on the patroll of the 9 network - a no-no.
Read the comments underneath - some are garbage but some interesting, almost conspiracy theory opinions.

Nite Heidi, thanks for your help and the story about the cat.(could not help but laugh!) He seems to be plumping up a bit, so will take him home and see if he makes the night, have green frogs around the area so he should be happy if he survives.
Thanks too Cyn. Connection so slow here will catch you all later.

Back for one minute.

Cyn, I don't read the comments under the news anymore. They're full of ignorance and hate mostly, with the occasional reasonable one thrown in.

Broni, sounds like the frog is going to be okay - but keep Bella away from it!

Off again again.

True Suzy - about the comments. I used to join in and have my say until I got abused for my opinion once too often - I thought that's what those things were for - a public forum. But for some people it's just an excuse to pick on anyone with a differing opinion than their own.

Have just uploaded a picture of my grandie Emily with the frog they found on their patio a month or two ago - while her father, Nanny, Aunty and big sister headed for the hills, she calmly picked it up.
If she doesn't grow up doing something with animals I will be surprised, she has a natural affinity with them. Heidi would be pleased.

Well good news everyone looks like froggy is going to make it, he survived the trip home in the container in my cooler bag on the car floor and has increase his size thrice, is trying to escape now, I found out those drums had been in the sun for 3 hours so will give him overnight to get his strength back. Zusy you will laugh at this I have one of those netting food covers over him to protect him from Bella and the possums! so he cannot escape.

Broni, I did laugh! A sensible precaution methinks, but a funny one...

I gave up on most of the requests. If I am feeling like wasting time I will process a few, but I never get to them all. I'm thinking of going in and doing a giant ignore and starting all over again.....

Cyn that's a huge frog! Emily sounds a bit like Ebob. At her year 7 camp the girls were squealing and screaming about leaches as Ebob calming pulled them off the others - didn't get one herself. When they are doing a disection in Science she comes home all excited - Mum, we're going to dissect an eye, heart, liver..... If she ends up in an all girl group, she does all the cutting, if there are boys she has to share.

I know this isn't really funny, but I couldn't help it! The headline made me smile... I haven't read the article yet so I can safely post this....

Gales disrupt Vic firefighting efforts

Now if they would just learn to spell her name right...

Broni, ignore them all and start from scratch! I have done it a couple of times when I have evacuated and when I get home and look, there are tons of requests. See the 'ignore all' in the corner, it's really easy!

BTW Back home again, a little wind blown but here all the same.
